Why stay here

Overview

Office towers, shops, and restaurants cluster around Osaki Station, while paths beside the Meguro River offer a quieter side of this southern Tokyo neighborhood. Rail routes cross the city and continue toward the bay, so staying near the station doesn't limit your plans to Shinagawa ward.

Main places

Osaki New City is linked by pedestrian bridge to the station's North Ticket Gate and East Exit. Its restaurants and first-floor LIFE supermarket put meals, groceries, and takeaway food close to the trains.

Near the South Ticket Gate, Gate City Ohsaki is a separate complex built around a five-storey atrium lined with shops and restaurants. You can sit in the atrium between appointments or outings. Outside, the North Garden provides benches and terrace seating.

For time away from the commercial buildings, follow the Meguro River toward Tokyo-Gotanda. Trees along the water blossom in spring, and riverside restaurants provide options for dinner.

Stations and access

Osaki Station is the neighborhood's main rail stop. Yamanote Line trains run toward Shibuya and Shinjuku in one direction and Shinagawa in the other. The Rinkai Line reaches Tokyo Teleport for Odaiba and Kokusai-tenjijo for Tokyo Big Sight, while Shonan-Shinjuku services run directly to Yokohama.

Where it fits in a trip

Offices, everyday shopping, and several rail routes make Osaki a convenient place to combine appointments with sightseeing elsewhere in Tokyo. For an evening nearby, eat in one of the station-linked complexes or take a walk beside the river.

Osaki isn't a Shinkansen stop. For long-distance departures, take the Yamanote Line one stop to Shinagawa Station and change there.
