Why stay here

Overview

You can eat near Gotanda Station or walk beside the Meguro River between outings across Tokyo. This part of Shinagawa ward has JR, subway, and Tokyu trains for reaching other neighborhoods.

Main places

Gotanda Tokyu Square connects directly to the Tokyu station, with shops, cafes, and restaurants under one roof. It's an easy place to stop for a meal before returning to your hotel.

Paths follow the Meguro River toward Osaki, with places to eat nearby. Cherry blossoms line the river in spring. Leave time for a walk before dinner.

Stations and access

Gotanda Station's Yamanote Line trains run toward Shibuya and Shinjuku in one direction and Shinagawa in the other. The Toei Asakusa Line offers another route toward Higashi-ginza and Asakusa, while the Tokyu Ikegami Line serves local neighborhoods on the way to Kamata.

Good to know

A Shinagawa ward address doesn't mean you're beside Shinagawa Station. To reach the Tokaido Shinkansen, take the Yamanote Line from Gotanda to Shinagawa and change there.
