Netmobius Inc. ("we") publishes Japan Station (japanstation.com) and its related sites, including index.japanstation.com and our city station sites. This policy explains what we collect and why. It is short because we collect very little.
What we collect automatically
When you visit, some data is collected automatically:
- Analytics. We use Clicky to measure traffic, such as pages viewed, approximate location, and the site you arrived from.
- Advertising. Google and its advertising partners use cookies to show ads, including ads based on your visits to this and other sites.
- Server and CDN logs. Our host and content network (Cloudflare and BunnyCDN) record technical data such as your IP address and browser, for security and delivery.
- Embedded content. Some pages include Facebook and Instagram content that can set its own cookies.
What you give us
The only information we collect directly is what you type into our contact form: your name, email, and message. We use it only to reply. We do not send newsletters, run a mailing list, or use your email for marketing, and we delete contact messages once your inquiry is handled.
The Japan Station Forum is separate: it requires an account and stores what you post there. See the forum's own terms.
Cookies and consent
We use strictly necessary cookies (needed for the site to work) and optional analytics and advertising cookies. If you visit from the EU, UK, or Switzerland, we ask for your consent before setting optional cookies, and you can change your choice at any time. Elsewhere, you can manage cookies in your browser settings.
Advertising and affiliate links
We earn revenue from ads and from affiliate links to partners such as Booking.com, Agoda, and Viator. When you click an affiliate link, the partner may set a cookie so it can credit us for a resulting booking. This never changes what we recommend or the price you pay.

Sharing
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share data only with the service providers named above (analytics, advertising, hosting, content delivery), who act on our behalf. Some are based in the United States, so your data may be processed there.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the information we hold about you, or to stop certain processing. We honor recognized opt-out signals such as Global Privacy Control. To make a request, contact us below. You may also complain to your local data protection authority, for example the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or the UK Information Commissioner's Office.
Children
Our sites are not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Security and changes
We take reasonable measures to protect the data we hold. If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date below.
