Overview
JR and subway services at Ryogoku Station use separate entrances in Tokyo-Ryogoku. JR Chuo-Sobu local trains stop near Kokugikan, while the Toei Oedo Line station is farther east, closer to the Edo-Tokyo Museum. Check which entrance your route uses before arranging a meeting or walking to a hotel.
Lines and connections
Westbound JR trains reach Asakusabashi in one stop and Akihabara in two before continuing toward Ochanomizu and Shinjuku. Change at Akihabara for the Yamanote or Keihin-Tohoku Line to Tokyo Station and its Shinkansen services. Ryogoku isn't served by Sobu rapid trains.
The Oedo Line provides direct journeys to Ueno-okachimachi and Roppongi.
