Overview
Tameike-sanno Station is a Tokyo Metro station on the eastern side of Tokyo-Akasaka, close to Nagatacho, Kokkai-gijidomae, Hie Shrine, and the office and hotel blocks around Tameike-sanno.
Lines and connections
The station is served by the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line as G06 and the Tokyo Metro Namboku Line as N06. The Ginza Line gives direct subway access toward Shibuya, Ginza, Ueno, and Asakusa, while the Namboku Line is useful for routes toward Meguro, Roppongi-itchome, Iidabashi, and Akabane-iwabuchi.
Station area
Tameike-sanno is especially useful when a hotel or office is closer to the east side of Akasaka than to Akasaka Station itself. It can also be the better station when the trip uses the Ginza or Namboku Line rather than the Chiyoda Line.
Good to know
Tameike-sanno connects with Kokkai-gijidomae in the Tokyo Metro network. Check the exact exit when arriving with luggage, because the station area covers several large blocks.
