Overview
Akasaka-mitsuke Station is a Tokyo Metro station on the edge of Tokyo-Akasaka, close to Nagatacho and the hotel, office, dining, and government-side streets around Akasaka.
Lines and connections
The station is served by the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line as G05 and the Tokyo Metro Marunouchi Line as M13. This gives it a different role from Akasaka Station on the Chiyoda Line: the Ginza Line is useful for Shibuya, Ginza, Nihonbashi, Ueno, and Asakusa, while the Marunouchi Line is useful for Shinjuku, Ikebukuro, Otemachi, and Tokyo Station.
Station area
For some Akasaka hotels, Akasaka-mitsuke may be a better arrival station than Akasaka Station when the route uses the Ginza or Marunouchi Line. It is especially useful when the trip is built around central subway access rather than JR terminal access.
Good to know
Akasaka-mitsuke and Nagatacho are connected in the broader station complex, but route searches may treat them as separate station names depending on the line and transfer path.
