Overview
Beneath Roppongi Crossing, Roppongi Station is the subway hub for Tokyo-Roppongi. The Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line and Toei Oedo Line meet here, bringing the district's museums, offices, restaurants, and nightlife within reach from two different parts of the subway network.
Lines and connections
The Hibiya Line serves Roppongi as H04. Westbound trains continue to Ebisu and Naka-meguro, while trains in the opposite direction pass through Ginza before reaching Akihabara and Ueno. It is often the simpler line for Ginza-side plans or JR connections at Ebisu, Akihabara, and Ueno.
The Oedo Line serves Roppongi as E23. Trains run directly toward Aoyama-itchome and Shinjuku in one direction, and toward Azabu-juban and Daimon in the other. Daimon is the relevant transfer point for Hamamatsucho and the Tokyo Monorail to Haneda Airport.
Airport access
There's no direct airport train from Roppongi Station. For Haneda Airport, take the Oedo Line to Daimon, continue to Hamamatsucho, and transfer to the Tokyo Monorail. Journeys to Narita Airport also require a transfer.
Station area
Exits spread around Roppongi Crossing, with Tokyo Midtown to the north and Roppongi Hills southwest of the intersection. On the Tokyo Metro side, Exit 4a identifies remm Roppongi, while the hotel's directions use Exit 4b for the one-minute walk.
The hotel is also one minute from Exit 7 on the Oedo Line side. Check the exit number before heading up, since crossing the main roads at street level can add time when you're carrying luggage.
What's nearby
Roppongi Hills brings together shops, restaurants, the Mori Art Museum, and Tokyo City View. Tokyo Midtown anchors a separate cluster of dining, shopping, gardens, and the Suntory Museum of Art, while the National Art Center is closer to the Nogizaka side of the district.
After dark, the streets around the crossing become one of Tokyo's best-known nightlife areas. This isn't a station for just one attraction: it also serves museum visits, office appointments, dinner, and late evenings.
Good to know
Tokyo Metro and Toei operate separate parts of Roppongi Station. Allow time to follow the signs between the Hibiya and Oedo lines, and confirm your exit before reaching street level.
