Overview
Between Roppongi Station and Roppongi-itchome Station in Tokyo-Roppongi, Mitsui Garden Hotel Roppongi Tokyo Premier places the district's museums, restaurants, shops, and nightlife within easy reach. The official route from Roppongi Station's Exit 5 takes about five minutes on foot.
With 257 non-smoking rooms, a top-floor restaurant, and a guest fitness room, the hotel provides more space and more to do on site than a compact business hotel. It's easy to plan subway-based sightseeing and evenings in central Tokyo from here, though JR and Shinkansen journeys require a transfer elsewhere.
Rooms
Standard double rooms start at 20.5 square meters. Superior queen, king, wide-king, and twin layouts generally range from about 24.8 to 27.6 square meters, giving couples more floor space than at many budget hotels in central Tokyo.
Deluxe king and twin rooms measure 35.3 and 33.7 square meters respectively. The 63.1-square-meter Junior Suite King adds a sofa and dining area. Every room is non-smoking, with separate bath, toilet, and washroom areas.
Wi-Fi and television casting are included throughout. A refrigerator, kettle, humidifying air purifier, and safe cover everyday needs.
Facilities
The fitness room on the 13th floor is open from 6:30 AM to 11:00 PM for hotel guests. Training clothes and shoes aren't supplied, and guests aged 16 or younger cannot use the room.
Coin-operated laundry is available on the same floor, while reception can arrange a paid laundry service. Wi-Fi runs throughout the building, and key cards control access to guest floors. There is no public bath or hotel parking lot, so drivers need to use a nearby paid lot.
Dining
BALCÓN TOKYO occupies the 14th floor, with an indoor dining room, lounge, bar, and open-air terrace. Breakfast pairs a choice of main dish with a half-buffet selection of salads, fruit, soup, bread, and sweets. It runs from 6:30 AM to 10:30 AM, with final entry at 10:00 AM.
The restaurant also serves lunch and dinner. At night, the bar and terrace bring city views into the experience. Private events can affect restaurant hours, so check the schedule if a particular meal matters to your stay.
Location and transport
Roppongi Station serves the Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line and Toei Oedo Line. The Hibiya Line is useful for Ebisu, Ginza, Akihabara, and Ueno, while the Oedo Line runs directly toward Shinjuku in one direction and Daimon in the other. Roppongi-itchome Station is about seven minutes away on foot and adds the Namboku Line for north-south subway journeys.
Roppongi Hills and Tokyo Midtown are both within walking distance, as are the Mori Art Museum, Suntory Museum of Art, and National Art Center. The district remains active well into the evening, which helps when plans revolve around dining, exhibitions, or nightlife.
Airport access
Airport travel requires a transfer rather than running directly to the hotel. From Haneda Airport, the hotel's access guide lists routes using either the Tokyo Monorail or Keikyu services, followed by the Oedo Line. The typical journey takes about 45 minutes before the final walk.
From Narita Airport, one listed rail route uses the Narita Express, Marunouchi Line, and Hibiya Line and takes about 90 minutes. An airport limousine bus to Grand Hyatt Tokyo is another option, followed by a walk through Roppongi; the hotel estimates roughly two hours and ten minutes before that final walk. Timetables and bus operations can change, so check the current route when traveling with luggage.
Why stay here
Rooms begin above the smallest central Tokyo business-hotel layouts, while the restaurant terrace, fitness room, and laundry facilities help with longer city stays. Two nearby subway stations cover three lines, although JR, Shinkansen, and airport journeys still involve transfers.
Roppongi's museums, shopping complexes, restaurants, and late-night venues are close enough to reach on foot. That gives the hotel a clear advantage when exhibitions, meals, and evenings out are central to the trip.
Good to know
Use Exit 5 at Roppongi Station for the official five-minute walking route. Check-in begins at 3:00 PM, and checkout is at noon. Travelers who want an on-site public bath, hotel parking, direct JR access, or a door-to-door airport transfer should compare other hotels or areas.
