Overview
A one-minute direct connection from Takeshiba Station leads to HOTEL TAVINOS Hamamatsucho on the Tokyo-Takeshiba waterfront. Hamamatsucho's JR platforms are about eight minutes away, while the Tokyo Monorail and Daimon Station are each about nine minutes on foot.
The hotel has 188 non-smoking rooms with bold manga-inspired graphics and an efficient self-service setup. Its waterfront position is the main draw: the Takeshiba Passenger Ship Terminal is nearby, the Yurikamome serves Odaiba and Toyosu, and Haneda Airport is one direct monorail ride from Hamamatsucho after the walk inland.
Rooms
Rooms are compact by design. Standard Double and Hollywood Twin rooms measure 12 square meters and sleep up to two guests, while the single Universal Room measures 17 square meters and provides more accessible space.
Breakfast scenes inspired the wall graphics, with fried-egg, toast, and coffee designs appearing throughout the room floors. Double rooms have one 160-centimeter-wide bed, while Hollywood Twins place two 85-centimeter beds side by side. Some upper-floor rooms overlook the Takeshiba wharf area.
Under-bed storage leaves room for suitcases despite the tight floor plan, and a folding table and chair create a small surface for work or trip planning. Standard rooms have shower booths rather than bathtubs and don't have refrigerators. The Universal Room is the exception, with an accessible layout and a bathtub.
Facilities
The second-floor lobby and lounge provide more space than the rooms for working, planning, or taking a break. Wi-Fi, power outlets, and USB ports are available there alongside automatic check-in and check-out machines. A free self-service cloakroom stores luggage on arrival and departure days.
Paid laundry machines, a microwave, a toaster, and a drink station cover everyday needs. Guests can also browse a library of roughly 500 manga volumes or use the lounge's board games. There is no hotel parking.
Dining
The lobby snack and drink bar provides free drinks from early morning until midnight. Individually wrapped bread is available from 6:30 to 10:00 in the morning while supplies last, so it's best regarded as a light start rather than a full breakfast.
A 24-hour convenience store occupies the first floor. For a larger meal, the surrounding waterfront complexes and the streets around Hamamatsucho provide more choice than the hotel's limited food service.
Location and transport
Takeshiba provides the shortest route in and out. The hotel is directly connected to Exit 2B of the Yurikamome station, with trains running toward Shiodome and Shimbashi in one direction and Odaiba, Ariake, and Toyosu in the other.
Hamamatsucho Station is about eight minutes away for the JR Yamanote and Keihin-Tohoku lines. The Tokyo Monorail platforms are about nine minutes away. Daimon is also about nine minutes from Exit B2 and adds the Toei Asakusa and Oedo subway lines; the elevator route from Exit B4 takes about a minute longer.
Airport access
Direct Tokyo Monorail trains connect Hamamatsucho with Haneda Airport, followed by the roughly nine-minute walk between the monorail station and the hotel. This is a rail-based journey rather than a hotel-door bus or shuttle.
Narita Airport requires a transfer. The hotel's published route uses the Keisei Skyliner to Nippori, followed by a JR train to Hamamatsucho and the final walk. Check the current timetable before traveling with large luggage or arriving late.
Why stay here
The direct Takeshiba connection simplifies waterfront plans and Yurikamome trips toward Odaiba and Toyosu, while Hamamatsucho provides direct monorail service to Haneda after a short walk. The tradeoffs are compact 12-square-meter standard rooms and a longer walk to JR or subway services.
Outside the hotel, Tokyo Bay boardwalks, the Takeshiba Passenger Ship Terminal, waterfront theatres, and nearby gardens can fill a free morning or evening. Ferries also depart from the passenger terminal for Tokyo's islands, though routes and piers should be checked before departure.
Good to know
Standard rooms have showers but no bathtub or refrigerator. During longer stays, routine housekeeping generally covers fresh towels and rubbish collection, with bed linen and bathroom cleaning every three days. Additional full cleaning is available for a fee.
The front entrance is locked between midnight and 6:00 in the morning. After check-in, a room key card provides access; guests arriving after midnight should contact the hotel and use the entrance intercom.
