What this station is useful for

Overview

Choose Oshiage Station if you are going to Tokyo Skytree Town, Tokyo Solamachi, a hotel on the Oshiage side, or an east Tokyo route that connects more smoothly here than through Asakusa or a central Tokyo terminal. It serves the Sumida side of the Skytree area and is a key rail stop for reaching the complex.

Lines and connections

Tokyo Solamachi's access guidance lists Oshiage Station for the Tobu Skytree Line, Hanzomon Line, Keisei Line, and Toei Asakusa Line. That combination supports north-south travel on Tokyo's east side, subway access through the Hanzomon and Asakusa networks, and rail links that continue beyond the immediate Skytree area.

Station area

For Tokyo Skytree Town and Solamachi, exits B3 and A2 are the clearest reference points in the official access guidance. Oshiage Station is on the Oshiage side of the complex, while Tokyo Skytree Station is a separate Tobu stop on the other side. The nearby streets feel more like a local neighborhood than a large terminal district, with hotels, apartments, restaurants, and everyday services close by.

Good to know

Oshiage Station and Tokyo Skytree Station are not the same stop. Both serve the Tokyo Skytree Town area, but the better choice depends on your train line, exit, and final walking route. If you are staying near Oshiage, check whether the closest entrance to your hotel is on the Oshiage Station side before following signs for Tokyo Skytree Station.
