Overview
Ningyocho Station serves the old-town streets on the eastern side of Tokyo-Nihonbashi. Both the Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line and Toei Asakusa Line stop here, while a connected transfer to Suitengumae adds the Hanzomon Line.
It isn't a major JR hub. Its role is more local: reaching Ningyocho's shops and restaurants, traveling between northeast and southwest Tokyo, or adding an Asakusa Line airport route to a stay near Royal Park Hotel and T-CAT.
Lines and connections
The Hibiya Line serves Ningyocho as H14. Southbound trains run toward Hatchobori, Tsukiji, Ginza, Roppongi, and Naka-meguro. Northbound trains continue through Akihabara and Ueno toward Kita-senju.
On the Toei Asakusa Line, Ningyocho is A14, between Nihombashi and Higashi-nihombashi. Trains run through Higashi-ginza, Shimbashi, Daimon, and Sengakuji in one direction, and toward Asakusa and Oshiage in the other. Through services continue onto the Keikyu or Keisei networks, but destinations vary, so read the departure display before boarding.
Suitengumae Station is linked by a transfer passage. Use this connection for the Hanzomon Line toward Otemachi and Shibuya, or toward Kiyosumi-shirakawa, Kinshicho, and Oshiage.
Airport access
Some Toei Asakusa Line trains continue onto the Keikyu network toward Haneda Airport or the Keisei network toward Narita Airport. Not every train serves an airport, and faster airport services may follow different stopping patterns. Check the destination rather than relying on the line name alone.
T-CAT beside Suitengumae offers another option, with airport limousine buses to both Haneda and Narita. This may be simpler with large luggage, although journey times depend on road traffic and the current timetable.
Station area
Ningyocho retains more of an old downtown atmosphere than the office-heavy parts of Nihonbashi. Amazake Yokocho is lined with long-established food shops and casual restaurants, while the surrounding lanes lead toward Suitengu Shrine and Meijiza Theater.
The Hibiya and Asakusa lines share the Ningyocho name, but their platforms, gates, and exits differ. Royal Park Hotel is about five minutes from Hibiya Line Exit A2 and about eight minutes from Toei Asakusa Line Exit A3.
What's nearby
Amazake Yokocho is the neighborhood's best-known walking street, with traditional snacks, crafts, and everyday dining. Suitengu Shrine is a short walk toward Suitengumae, while Meijiza Theater lies toward Hamacho.
Royal Park Hotel and T-CAT are closer to Suitengumae but remain reachable from Ningyocho. For hotel guests, Ningyocho provides a second rail option when the Hibiya or Asakusa line is more useful than the Hanzomon Line.

Ningyocho is one station served by two operators: Tokyo Metro uses H14, while Toei uses A14. Suitengumae is a connected station with a different name and station number, not another name for the same platforms.
For airport trains, confirm the destination and service type. For airport buses, follow the signs through Suitengumae toward T-CAT rather than waiting at Ningyocho's street exits.
