Overview
In Tokyo-Ariake, Ariake Station is the Yurikamome half of a two-line interchange. This elevated stop, numbered U12, stands beside Kokusai-tenjijo Station on the Rinkai Line and close to hotels and event venues around Tokyo Big Sight.
The stop is small. Its value lies in the transfer and waterfront route, not in a large concourse or a dense shopping district immediately outside.
Lines and connections
The Yurikamome is the only line serving Ariake Station. Trains toward Shimbashi pass Tokyo Big Sight, Odaiba, and Shiodome, while Toyosu-bound services continue through Ariake-tennis-no-mori, Shijo-mae, and Shin-toyosu.
Nearby Kokusai-tenjijo Station provides the Rinkai Line alternative. Direct trains continue onto the JR Saikyo Line toward Shibuya, Shinjuku, and Ikebukuro, while eastbound services run to Shin-kiba for a transfer toward Maihama.
Airport access
A public Airport Limousine bus stop named for Kokusai-tenjijo Station and DoubleTree by Hilton Tokyo Ariake serves the immediate area with direct buses to and from Haneda Airport. This isn't a private hotel shuttle, and road traffic can affect journey times.
Reaching Narita Airport requires a transfer-based rail or bus journey. Check the current airport route before traveling rather than assuming the Haneda service also covers Narita.
Station area
Elevators connect the street, ticket-gate, and platform levels. Coin lockers, a shop, and free Wi-Fi can help when event schedules and hotel check-in times don't align neatly.
DoubleTree by Hilton Tokyo Ariake is about one minute away on foot. Tokyo Big Sight and the Ariake Garden side of the district are also reachable from this part of the waterfront, although another Yurikamome stop may be closer to a particular entrance.
What's nearby
Tokyo Big Sight is the main visitor anchor south of the station pair. Ariake Garden, Tokyo Garden Theater, Ariake Arena, and Ariake Coliseum are spread across the district's northern side, so checking the exact venue entrance before arrival can prevent an unnecessarily long walk.
Good to know
Ariake and Kokusai-tenjijo are adjacent, but they aren't the same station. Use Ariake for Yurikamome trains toward Odaiba, Shimbashi, or Toyosu, and cross to Kokusai-tenjijo when the Rinkai Line better matches your route.
