Why stay here

Overview

Nagoya-Sasashima Live is a redeveloped district south of Nagoya Station. It is close to the main Nagoya terminal but has its own identity around Sasashima-raibu Station, Global Gate, offices, hotels, event spaces, university buildings, JICA Chubu, Zepp Nagoya, and waterside public space.

What the area is known for

The area works well for travelers who want a newer station-adjacent base without staying directly inside the Nagoya Station complex. Global Gate is the central mixed-use building, and Nagoya Prince Hotel Sky Tower occupies the upper floors of the tower. The Strings Hotel Nagoya adds another Sasashima Live hotel option near the station, with restaurants, chapel spaces, and event facilities. The district is also useful for events, business stays, and family trips that use the Aonami Line toward Kinjo-futo.

Stations and access

Sasashima-raibu Station is on the Aonami Line as AN02. The line connects Nagoya Station with Kinjo-futo, and Sasashima-raibu is the first stop south of Nagoya Station. Nagoya Prince Hotel Sky Tower is directly connected to Sasashima-raibu Station, and The Strings Hotel Nagoya is about three minutes away on foot. Nagoya Station remains the wider rail gateway for Shinkansen, Meitetsu airport trains, Kintetsu, subway, buses, and regional travel.

Where it fits in a trip

Choose Nagoya-Sasashima Live when you want easy Nagoya Station access, direct Aonami Line access, high-rise hotel views, and a quieter redevelopment-area base. Choose Nagoya Station Area when the shortest walk to Shinkansen, Meitetsu, Kintetsu, or subway concourses matters more.
