Overview
Every guest room at Nagoya Prince Hotel Sky Tower is on the 32nd floor or higher, above Global Gate in Nagoya-Sasashima Live. Depending on the room's direction, the elevated setting opens onto the city, rail yards, mountains, or port. Sasashima-raibu Station connects directly to the building.
This is close to Nagoya Station, not inside it. The Aonami Line journey takes about two minutes and one stop, but reaching Shinkansen services, Meitetsu airport trains, Kintetsu lines, subways, and highway buses still involves a transfer or walk on the Nagoya Station side.
Rooms
All 170 rooms are non-smoking and have separate bath and toilet areas. Most Superior rooms measure about 32 square meters, giving standard categories more breathing room than many station-focused city hotels. Connecting rooms help families and small groups stay together.
Junior Suites measure about 59 square meters, while the Premium Junior Suite reaches about 79 square meters. View direction matters as much as room size. Some categories face Nagoya Station and its rail yards, while others look toward the city center, Nagoya Port, the Nakagawa Canal, or the surrounding mountains.
Facilities
The Club Lounge on the 31st floor is reserved for guests in eligible Club rooms and suites. It provides a quieter place for drinks and refreshments, so check the access conditions when comparing categories rather than assuming every booking includes entry.
All staying guests can use the fitness room. A business center on the 32nd floor provides basic work support, and paid parking is available within the Global Gate complex.
Dining
Sky Dining TENKU occupies the 31st floor, with broad views toward the Nagoya skyline and surrounding mountains. It serves a substantial breakfast buffet featuring local specialties, followed by seasonal lunch and dinner buffets and afternoon tea.
The adjoining TENKU BAR opens in the evening. Both venues make the view part of the experience, a welcome option when you'd rather remain upstairs for dinner or drinks than return to Nagoya Station or continue into Sakae.
Location and transport
Direct access to Sasashima-raibu Station keeps the Aonami Line close in any weather. Nagoya Station is the next stop, about two minutes away, so the Shinkansen and the city's main JR, Meitetsu, Kintetsu, subway, and bus connections are straightforward to reach once you allow time for the transfer.
The Aonami Line also runs south to Kinjo-futo. The journey from Sasashima-raibu takes about 22 minutes and serves trips to LEGOLAND Japan, SEA LIFE Nagoya, the SCMAGLEV and Railway Park, and Port Messe Nagoya. Global Gate, Zepp Nagoya, and the Sasashima waterfront are the closest local anchors.
Airport access
Meitetsu limited express trains connect Central Japan International Airport with Meitetsu Nagoya in as little as about 28 minutes. From the Nagoya Station area, continue for one stop on the Aonami Line to Sasashima-raibu.
The journey is transfer-based rather than door to door. Leave enough time to move between Meitetsu Nagoya and the Aonami Line platforms, particularly with luggage or before an international flight.
Why stay here
High-floor rooms, city views, and direct access to Sasashima-raibu Station distinguish the hotel from a conventional room beside Nagoya's main rail concourse. The location is particularly convenient for business or events at Global Gate, Aonami Line trips to Kinjo-futo, or a stay with more space and a skyline outlook while Nagoya Station remains one short local ride away.
Good to know
The direct connection is to Sasashima-raibu Station, not Nagoya Station. Although the train ride takes about two minutes, allow additional time for the platform transfer when catching a Shinkansen or airport train.
Older directions may mention the Sasashima Welcome Bus, but that service ended on March 31, 2026. Current options are the Aonami Line, walking or taking a taxi from Nagoya Station, or arriving by car and using the paid Global Gate parking.
