Overview
Miyako City Osaka Hommachi is a two-minute walk from Sakaisuji-Hommachi Station, where two subway corridors meet in Osaka-Honmachi. The Chuo Line crosses the city from east to west, while the Sakaisuji Line runs directly to Nippombashi and northern central Osaka.
All 298 rooms have large windows and a balcony. A guest lounge and modern Chinese restaurant provide places to relax or eat without leaving the building, while Semba's shops and restaurants are just outside.
Rooms
Room sizes range from 21-square-meter doubles to 27-square-meter corner doubles and twins. Most double and twin categories measure 23 square meters, while a 25-square-meter triple accommodates up to three guests. A barrier-free room is also available.
Every room has a balcony and a bathroom with a separate washing area. The premium floors offer the same core categories, so the key decisions are bed layout, floor, and whether a corner view matters.
Facilities
BLOOM, the guest lounge, is free for staying guests from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Coffee, tea, and soft drinks are included, alongside Wi-Fi, a small library, and a printer. It's a comfortable fallback for reading, planning the day, or waiting between outings.
Coin laundry on the second floor helps with longer stays. Water servers are installed on every guest floor, reusable bottles are provided in the rooms, and free Wi-Fi is available throughout the guest rooms.
Dining
HALOW is the hotel's modern Chinese brasserie. Its Chinese and Western breakfast buffet runs from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM, with last entry at 9:30 AM. The restaurant also opens for lunch and dinner, although dinner service can vary by day.
It's more than a token breakfast room. HALOW's Chinese focus distinguishes it from the all-purpose restaurants common in city hotels and provides an easy dinner option after a day elsewhere in Osaka.
Location and transport
Sakaisuji-Hommachi Station is about two minutes away and serves the Chuo and Sakaisuji lines. On the Chuo Line, Honmachi Station is one stop west for Midosuji Line transfers. Eastbound trains run toward Tanimachi 4-chome and Morinomiya on the Osaka Castle side, while westbound services continue toward the bay and Yumeshima.
The Sakaisuji Line runs directly south to Nagahoribashi and Nippombashi, which helps with trips to Minami and Kuromon Market. Northbound trains serve Kitahama and Minamimorimachi before continuing toward Tenjimbashisuji 6-chome and the Hankyu network.
Airport access
From Kansai International Airport, take a Nankai airport train to Tengachaya and transfer to the Sakaisuji Line for Sakaisuji-Hommachi. The route requires one change but avoids crossing central Osaka between Namba or Umeda and the hotel.
From Osaka International Airport at Itami, the hotel's published route uses an airport bus to the Umeda area, followed by Osaka Metro via Honmachi. Neither airport has direct hotel-door service, so check current train or bus times when traveling with luggage.
Why stay here
With two subway lines nearby, east-west journeys and trips along the Sakaisuji corridor remain straightforward. Nippombashi is direct, the Osaka Castle side lies along the Chuo Line, and Honmachi is only one stop away when the Midosuji Line better suits the day. Back at the hotel, balconies and the guest lounge provide extra space beyond the room.
Semba Center Building extends for about a kilometer beneath Chuo-dori, bringing together textile wholesalers, retail shops, and basement restaurants. Farther west, the covered Senba Shinsaibashisuji Shopping Street continues south toward Shinsaibashi. The neighborhood rewards some time on foot.
Good to know
The hotel isn't on the Midosuji Line. Trips to Shin-Osaka, Umeda, Shinsaibashi, Namba, and Tennoji often begin with a one-stop Chuo Line ride to Honmachi before the main north-south journey.
The shortest approaches use exits 7 or 10 at Sakaisuji-Hommachi, but both routes pass through Semba Center Building and close at night. Exits 4 and 9 remain available with a slightly longer walk.
