Overview
Morinomiya Station is a JR and Osaka Metro station on the southeast side of Osaka Castle Park. It is useful for travelers approaching Osaka Castle Park from the JR Osaka Loop Line, using east-west Osaka Metro Chuo Line routes, or staying near Patina Osaka.
Lines and connections
The JR side serves the Osaka Loop Line. The Osaka Metro side serves the Chuo Line and the Nagahori Tsurumi-ryokuchi Line, with transfer routes shown between the Chuo and Nagahori Tsurumi-ryokuchi platforms and JR Line access.
Station area
Osaka Castle Park is a short walk from Morinomiya Station Exit 3-B. Patina Osaka is about 600 meters away, about nine to ten minutes on foot.
Good to know
Morinomiya is useful when JR Osaka Loop Line access matters or when entering Osaka Castle Park from the southeast. Tanimachi 4-chome may be the better station for the Osaka Museum of History, Naniwa Palace Ruins Park, and the southwest side of the same hotel area.
