Overview
One stop south of Fukuro-machi, Chuden-mae Station serves the Otemachi side of Hiroshima-Peace Boulevard. THE KNOT HIROSHIMA is about three minutes away on foot, the same walking time given for Fukuro-machi.
Either stop works for the hotel. Chuden-mae is the southern option, close to office buildings and the headquarters of Chugoku Electric Power, while Fukuro-machi is nearer the downtown streets to the north.
Lines and connections
Chuden-mae is stop U03 on the Hiroshima Electric Railway Ujina Line. Route 1 runs directly north to Hiroshima Station and south toward Hiroshima Port, so travelers arriving by Shinkansen can continue without changing streetcars.
Routes 3 and 7 pass through Hondori before continuing toward western Hiroshima or Yokogawa. Southbound services follow the Ujina corridor, and the Loop Line also calls here. Check the route number and destination before boarding.
Airport access
Chuden-mae has no airport train or limousine-bus stop. The airport route for THE KNOT HIROSHIMA uses a limousine bus to Hiroshima Bus Center, followed by a walk of around 10 minutes to the hotel.
The streetcar stop doesn't replace that final transfer. When you're traveling with luggage, leave enough time to reach the bus center and find the correct departure platform.
Station area
The street-level platforms are in Otemachi, just south of Peace Boulevard. Offices give the immediate blocks more of a workday character than the restaurant streets north of Fukuro-machi, though central dining and shopping remain within walking range.
On the hotel side of the stop, THE KNOT HIROSHIMA has a rooftop bar and an all-day restaurant. Peace Boulevard provides a broad, tree-lined route west toward Peace Memorial Park.
What's nearby
Peace Memorial Park is within walking distance to the west, while Hondori and Fukuromachi are to the north. For visitors staying in Otemachi, Chuden-mae combines a direct streetcar ride from Hiroshima Station with walkable access to the memorial district.
Good to know
Chuden-mae is a compact street-level streetcar stop, not a JR station. Its platforms and the walks to nearby hotels are exposed to the weather, and several routes share the same tracks.
