Overview
Central Japan International Airport Station is the Meitetsu rail stop at Chubu Centrair International Airport. Its ticket gates open into Access Plaza, beside Terminal 1, airport buses, taxis, hotels, and pedestrian routes across the airport island.
This is Centrair's simplest rail arrival point. For travelers staying beside Terminal 1, the route from the gates is short, indoors, and step-free.
Lines and connections
The station is TA24 on the Meitetsu Airport Line. Trains run toward Kanayama and Meitetsu Nagoya, where connections are available for JR, subway, Shinkansen, and other Meitetsu routes.
The fastest μ-SKY services reach Meitetsu Nagoya in as little as 28 minutes. All seats are first class, so you'll need a μticket as well as a regular fare ticket. Other limited express and semi-express airport trains offer different stopping patterns.
Airport access
Access Plaza has a direct, step-free connection to Terminal 1. Airline check-in, arrivals, shopping, dining, and the Sky Deck are all within or beside the main terminal building, although walking time varies by floor and airline counter.
Terminal 2 takes longer. It isn't directly above the station, so follow the signed covered route past Flight of Dreams or use the airport's free shuttle. Allow extra time beyond the train journey.
Station area
Centrair Hotel is 100 metres from the ticket gates along a same-level passage. Airport buses, taxis, car-rental counters, and parking connections are also close to Access Plaza.
Flight of Dreams, Terminal 2, and Aichi Sky Expo are farther along the island. They can be reached on foot, but travelers with luggage shouldn't treat them as part of the immediate station concourse.
Good to know
The official English name is Central Japan International Airport Station, although the airport is commonly called Centrair and promoted as Nagoya's gateway. Check both your train type and flight terminal: μ-SKY requires the supplementary μticket, while Terminal 2 involves an additional transfer from Access Plaza.
