Overview
A same-level, step-free passage connects Centrair Hotel directly to Terminal 1 at Chubu Centrair International Airport. The hotel is 100 metres from Central Japan International Airport Station and 130 metres from the airline check-in area, so luggage-heavy arrivals involve very little ground to cover.
Its 381 rooms are divided between the Central and Pacific sides. The location favors early departures, late arrivals, short airport stopovers, and visits to nearby Aichi Sky Expo rather than a conventional stay in central Nagoya.
Rooms
Rooms range from compact 16-square-metre singles to 78-square-metre suites. Standard doubles on the Pacific side begin at 24 square metres, while twin, double, Japanese-style, and suite layouts provide more space. Many categories separate the bathroom, toilet, and washbasin, a helpful arrangement when two people need to get ready at once.
Selected high-floor airport-side rooms look across the runway and Ise Bay. Aviation and character concepts include an ANA room and two Hello Kitty designs. If the view or theme matters, check the exact room category before booking.
Facilities
The guest lounge provides free coffee, flight information, tatami seating, and a small business booth. It also contains a smoking room, while the front desk operates around the clock.
A FamilyMart beside the hotel covers drinks, snacks, and simple supplies after a late arrival. More shops and services are available across the wider terminal during airport operating hours.
Dining
Restaurant Cosmos serves a buffet breakfast from 6:00 to 10:00, with last orders at 9:30. The early start works with many morning departures, though you'll still need to plan around your airline's check-in deadline.
Evening dining is less extensive inside the hotel. Terminal 1 has a broader selection of restaurants and regional food, but hours vary, and late arrivals shouldn't assume every venue will remain open.
Location and transport
From the station gates, walk toward the convenience store and take the hotel connection on the right. From the arrivals lobby, follow signs to Access Plaza and continue through the same-level passage. No shuttle or road crossing is required.
Meitetsu's fastest μ-SKY trains reach Meitetsu Nagoya in as little as 28 minutes. Airport buses, taxis, and car parks are also grouped around Access Plaza, while Aichi Sky Expo is about a five-minute walk from the airport.
Airport access
The direct Terminal 1 connection is especially convenient for passengers using the main terminal. Terminal 2 is in a separate building, reached by a covered pedestrian route with moving walkways or the airport's free shuttle. Allow extra time if your flight leaves from Terminal 2.
If you have a spare afternoon, the Sky Deck, terminal dining, and Flight of Dreams offer things to do without traveling into Nagoya. Tokoname's Pottery Footpath is one short Meitetsu ride away, though it is in the mainland town rather than on the airport island.
Why stay here
The short indoor route between the room, station, and check-in area takes much of the strain out of an early departure or late arrival. Breakfast starts at 6:00, the lounge displays flight information, and the range of room sizes gives families and Aichi Sky Expo visitors more options.
For city restaurants, nightlife, or several days of sightseeing, central Nagoya is the better location. Centrair has a fast train connection to Nagoya, but the airport island isn't a city-center neighborhood.
Good to know
Check-in begins at 15:00, and check-out is by 10:00. Both smoking and nonsmoking room categories are sold, so guests with smoke sensitivity should reserve a clearly designated nonsmoking room rather than leave it as a request. Confirm both the departure terminal and room category before arrival.
