Overview
For stays in the official-hotel zone at Tokyo Disney Resort, Bayside Station is the monorail stop that matters. It isn't a JR station. Travelers arriving by train transfer from Maihama Station to Resort Gateway Station, then take the Disney Resort Line around the loop.
Hilton Tokyo Bay is about a one-minute walk from Bayside Station. Free Disney Resort Cruiser buses also link the station with participating official hotels.
Lines and connections
The Disney Resort Line is a one-way monorail loop with four stations. From Resort Gateway, trains call at Tokyo Disneyland Station and Bayside Station before continuing to Tokyo DisneySea Station and returning to the gateway. A full circuit takes about 13 minutes.
The monorail has a separate fare and accepts major transport IC cards. Service intervals vary during the day, so even a short trip may involve some platform waiting.
Station area
Six Tokyo Disney Resort official hotels surround Bayside Station: Tokyo Bay Maihama Hotel First Resort, Maihama View Hotel, Grand Nikko Tokyo Bay Maihama, Hilton Tokyo Bay, Hotel Okura Tokyo Bay, and Sheraton Grande Tokyo Bay Hotel. Tokyo Disney Resort Toy Story Hotel and Tokyo DisneySea Fantasy Springs Hotel are also nearby.
This is a spacious, hotel-focused area rather than a conventional station neighborhood. Most dining and shopping is inside the hotels or elsewhere around the resort, with few independent streets to explore immediately outside the station.
What's nearby
Hilton Tokyo Bay is directly across from the station and can be reached on foot or by the hotel's free shuttle. Other official hotels operate their own short transfers, with bus bays assigned by hotel.
Stay on the monorail loop to reach Tokyo Disneyland or Tokyo DisneySea. Walking from the hotel zone to either park is generally less practical, especially with children or after a full day in the parks.
Good to know
Don't confuse the paid Disney Resort Line with the free Disney Resort Cruiser. The monorail connects Bayside Station with the Maihama gateway and both parks, while the buses cover the short distance between the station and individual hotels.
