Tokyu Stay Shinjuku is scheduled to reopen on September 29, 2026, following a full renovation of the hotel in Shinjuku-sanchome. Reservations for the renewed property opened on April 10.
The 14-story hotel will have 120 guest rooms and a planned maximum capacity of 300 guests. The average room size will increase by approximately 50 percent to 25 square meters, and new layouts will accommodate couples, families and groups of up to four people. Floors 3 through 13 will each contain six double rooms, three triple rooms and one room for four guests. The top floor will have one suite and four double rooms, while one of the hotel’s rooms will be an accessible room.
The largest option, the 47-square-meter Signature Family room, will sleep four guests and include a kitchen, microwave, washer-dryer and separate bathroom. The 39-square-meter Stay Premier room will offer the same facilities for up to four guests, while the 30-square-meter Deluxe Twin will accommodate three. Superior Queen and Deluxe King rooms will sleep two guests and include a microwave, washer-dryer and shower.
Guest rooms will follow a “Studio” theme, with interiors incorporating references to Shinjuku’s film, café and traditional entertainment culture. The broader design concept, “SANKADO SQUARE,” is intended to reflect the varied character of Shinjuku-sanchome throughout the property.
The first floor will contain the lobby and front desk. A guest lounge, restaurant and additional rooms will occupy the second floor. The lounge is also planned as a presentation space for young people working in literature, theater, film, art, photography and music.
Tokyu Stay Shinjuku is located at 3-7-1 Shinjuku in Shinjuku Ward. It is approximately eight minutes on foot from the East Exit of JR Shinjuku Station and one minute from Exit C3 of Shinjuku-sanchome Station, served by the Toei Shinjuku Line and Tokyo Metro.
