Overview
Tokyu Stay Shinjuku is scheduled to reopen on September 29, 2026, after a full renovation. On Shinjuku's east side, it is one minute from Exit C3 of Shinjuku-sanchome and about eight minutes from the East Exit of Shinjuku Station.
The renewed hotel is designed for solo trips, couples, families, and groups. Subway access is the clearest advantage, while the larger JR hub, shopping, restaurants, nightlife, and Shinjuku Gyoen are all within the wider area.
Rooms
The 14-story hotel will have 120 guest rooms, with double, triple, four-person, and suite layouts. The renovation broadens the choices for couples, families, and groups of up to four.
The 47-square-meter Signature Family room is the largest option and sleeps four. It has a kitchen, microwave, washer-dryer, and separate bathroom. Stay Premier rooms provide the same main facilities for up to four guests, while Deluxe Twin rooms accommodate three. Superior Queen and Deluxe King rooms are designed for two and include a microwave, washer-dryer, and shower.
Rooms follow a Studio theme inspired by Shinjuku's film, cafe, and traditional entertainment culture.
Facilities
The lobby and front desk are on the first floor. The second floor will contain a guest lounge, restaurant, and additional rooms.
The lounge is also planned as a presentation space for young people working in literature, theater, film, art, photography, and music.

Location and transport
Exit C3 of Shinjuku-sanchome Station is about one minute away. The station serves the Tokyo Metro Marunouchi and Fukutoshin lines and the Toei Shinjuku Line, so it will be the nearest rail stop for most arrivals.
The East Exit of JR Shinjuku Station is about eight minutes away on foot. From there, travelers can use JR, Odakyu, and Keio trains, along with airport-train and highway-bus options. It's a large, busy station. Allow extra time when navigating its east side with luggage.
Why stay here
Washer-dryers and kitchens in many room types can simplify longer visits. The larger renovated layouts also let families and small groups stay together instead of booking separate rooms.
Shinjuku-sanchome is better placed for subway trips and evenings on the district's east side. JR Shinjuku remains within walking distance for journeys across Tokyo and beyond.
