Overview
Immediately beside Hisaya-odori Station, THE TOWER HOTEL NAGOYA occupies the fourth and fifth floors of Chubu Electric Power MIRAI TOWER above Hisaya-odori Park in Nagoya-Sakae. Across its 15 rooms, the tower's exposed iron structure appears alongside art and craft by Tokai artists.
The building is part of the experience. Guest rooms, the restaurant, and a nighttime rooftop salon all make use of the landmark setting, while the nearest subway entrance is immediately outside.
Rooms
All 15 rooms are designed for one or two guests. Standard twins begin at 24 square meters, forest-view rooms measure 37 square meters, and park-view doubles and twins measure 41 square meters. Corner suites increase to 57 square meters.
The two terrace suites have a combined terrace and floor area of 80 square meters. Categories face either the park or the greener northern side, and works by individual Tokai artists give each room its own character. The tower's structural steel remains visible in selected interiors.
Facilities
The guest-only rooftop salon opens at night with views across Hisaya-odori Park and the Sakae skyline. A small gym is available during the day, while the fourth-floor gallery hosts exhibitions and workshops connected to local artists and craft.
Non-alcoholic minibar drinks are included, while alcoholic drinks cost extra. These details extend the tower and art experience beyond the room itself.
Dining
Breakfast is included with every room and plan. Served from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM at fourth-floor Glycine, it features ingredients from the three Tokai prefectures in a dining room overlooking the park.
Glycine continues with French-based regional cuisine at lunch and dinner, using local ingredients and tableware by Tokai artists. The ground-floor Farm& cafe and diner is the more casual option for coffee, hot dogs, drinks, and evening meals.
Location and transport
The hotel entrance is immediately outside Exit 8A of Hisaya-odori Station. The Sakura-dori and Meijo subway lines meet there, providing a direct ride to Nagoya Station and a one-stop connection to central Sakae.
Nagoya Sakae Station is about five minutes away from Exit 3. Its Higashiyama and Meijo lines are useful for trips across central Nagoya, but Hisaya-odori is the easier arrival point when you're carrying luggage.
Airport access
From Centrair, take a Meitetsu train to Nagoya Station and change to the Sakura-dori Line for Hisaya-odori. The airport train takes roughly 28 to 35 minutes, followed by the subway transfer and a short final walk from the station entrance.
Centrair limousine buses also reach the Sakae area in about 55 minutes, followed by a walk north to the hotel. Traffic can affect the bus journey, and neither option stops at the hotel door.
Why stay here
Sleeping inside Nagoya's landmark tower gives the stay an identity that a conventional city hotel can't reproduce. The park setting, local art, included breakfast, and nighttime rooftop salon reward time spent in the building, while immediate subway access keeps the rest of the city within easy reach.
Hisaya-odori Park surrounds the tower with landscaped walks, terraces, and roughly 40 places to shop or eat. Oasis 21 and Sakae's main shopping blocks are farther south, combining a park-side setting with an easy walk into the busier downtown district.
Good to know
Standard check-in begins at 3:00 PM, and check-out is at noon. The hotel doesn't accept reservations that include children aged ten or younger, groups of more than five guests, or bookings of more than three rooms.
Paid parking is available at Art Park Tokai by advance phone request. Because the hotel is inside the tower rather than a conventional street-front building, check the current entrance and subway-exit guidance before arrival.
