Overview
Generous twin rooms define Sanco Inn's Annex Grande wing in Ise. Its 37 rooms start at 27.3 square meters, and the MiraISE entrance is about three minutes from the south exit on the JR side of Iseshi Station. Geku is roughly ten minutes away on foot.
Depending on the category, rooms accommodate four to six guests. The ninth-floor Sky Lounge provides a shared place for drinks, snacks, and views across Ise. The public bath and paid breakfast buffet are in the adjacent Sanco Inn main building rather than the annex.
Rooms
All rooms are non-smoking twin layouts ranging from 27.3 to 52.2 square meters. Standard rooms accommodate up to four guests, moderate rooms up to five, and the larger deluxe categories up to six. At 52.2 square meters, the premium twin is the largest option.
Layouts vary as much as room size. One moderate room adds a futon, deluxe rooms include a third bed, and selected standard twins can connect when two rooms are booked. Most categories have separate bathrooms and toilets, and there's also a 34-square-meter accessible twin.
Facilities
The ninth-floor Sky Lounge serves drinks and sweets in the morning and late afternoon, with views across the city. An amenity bar, six pillow choices, self-service luggage storage, and coin laundry cover everyday needs.
Guests can also use the artificial mineral public bath in the Sanco Inn main building next door. Reaching it requires leaving the annex.
Dining
Annex Grande guests receive a complimentary croissant set from an Ise bakery, including those booked on room-only plans. Coffee and juice are served in the Sky Lounge, and guests can take the light meal back to their rooms.
A paid Japanese and Western breakfast buffet is available in the main building. The annex doesn't have a full dinner restaurant, but restaurants and cafes around the station and along the approach to Geku provide nearby options for an evening meal.
Location and transport
The hotel is in Iseshi Station and Geku, about three minutes on foot from the south exit on the JR side of Iseshi Station. JR trains serve trips toward Futami and Toba, while Kintetsu services connect with Nagoya, Kyoto, Osaka, Toba, and Shima.
Geku is close enough to visit before check-in or after leaving luggage. Naiku lies beyond the station-side district and requires a bus ride, so the two principal shrine areas shouldn't be planned as one walking route.
Airport access
From Chubu Centrair International Airport, take Meitetsu to Nagoya, walk from Meitetsu Nagoya to Kintetsu Nagoya, and continue by Kintetsu limited express to Iseshi Station. The final walk is short, but the journey requires a change of operators in Nagoya.
There is no hotel-door airport shuttle. Allow enough time for the Nagoya transfer, particularly when carrying luggage or traveling with a reserved limited express seat.
Why stay here
The short walk from Iseshi Station and larger twin rooms make arrivals easier for families and groups who might feel cramped in a typical business-hotel room. The tradeoff is simple: using the public bath or full breakfast buffet means walking to the neighboring main building.
Geku can be reached on foot, while buses continue to Naiku, Oharaimachi, and Okage Yokocho. Staying near the station lets you leave luggage and make the first shrine visit before continuing to the busier traditional streets around Naiku.
Good to know
The annex occupies the ninth and tenth floors of MiraISE beside the Sanco Inn main building. The Sky Lounge and light breakfast are in the annex, while the public bath and paid buffet are next door in the main building.
Paid parking is available on MiraISE's second and third floors. Spaces and charges can change, so confirm the current arrangement before arriving by car.
