Transport access and hotel guide

Overview

Richmond Hotel Naha Kumoji reopened on July 13, 2026, after a hotel-wide renovation. The 225-room hotel is two minutes on foot from Miebashi Station and about ten minutes from Kokusai Street, keeping central Naha close without placing guests in the shopping district's busiest stretch.

This is an upgraded city stay rather than an Okinawa resort. Large work desks, rooms for up to four people, and a guest lounge broaden its appeal, but there is no pool or hotel-door airport shuttle.

Rooms

Single and standard double rooms start at 17.5 square meters, with corner doubles measuring 19 square meters. Deluxe doubles, twin rooms, and the universal twin provide 26 square meters. The 31-square-meter triple has three separate beds, while a four-person version adds an extra bed for families or friends who want to share.

Rooms have a desk and free Wi-Fi, plus an air purifier with a humidifying function. A refrigerator, kettle, and mobile-phone charger are also standard. Children through age 12 may share an existing bed free, limited to one child per bed. Cots and bed guards can be requested, although quantities are limited and not every room type is compatible.

Facilities

The second-floor lounge is free for guests from 1:00 to 8:00 PM, including on check-in and checkout days. A drink bar, Blue Seal ice cream, and counter seats with power outlets and USB ports make it handy for a break between flights or a short work session.

Coin laundries are on the third and sixth floors, and every guest floor has a water dispenser. Vending and ice machines cover other everyday needs. The 64-space mechanical car park costs ¥1,000 per night and can't be reserved; when it's full, drivers need to use nearby coin parking.

Dining

Breakfast is a Japanese and Western buffet featuring Okinawan dishes such as Okinawa soba, champuru, rafute, taco rice, and yushi tofu. It's served on the second floor from 6:30 to 10:30 AM, with last orders at 10:00 AM.

Food service centers on breakfast and the afternoon lounge rather than an all-day restaurant. For lunch or dinner, Kokusai Street and the streets between Kencho-mae and Miebashi offer restaurants, izakaya, and bars within walking distance.

Location and transport

Richmond Hotel Naha Kumoji is in Naha-Kokusai Dori, just south of Miebashi Station. The final two-minute approach is outdoors, but Yui Rail arrivals remain straightforward even with luggage.

Kokusai Street is about ten minutes away on foot. Its 1.6-kilometer strip of shops, restaurants, and bars leads into covered arcades and the Makishi Public Market area, giving guests plenty to explore without a car. The hotel is near the activity rather than directly on the main thoroughfare.

Airport access

Yui Rail runs directly from Naha Airport to Miebashi Station in 14 minutes, followed by the two-minute outdoor walk to the hotel. No train change is needed. When road traffic is heavy, this is the more predictable airport route.

The hotel estimates about 15 minutes by car from Naha Airport in light traffic, though the journey can take considerably longer. There is no advertised hotel-door airport shuttle.

Why stay here

A direct airport train, a full-size work desk, laundry facilities, and the afternoon lounge simplify a first or final night in Okinawa. Triple and four-person layouts also let families or friends stay together when resort facilities aren't the priority.

Kokusai Street remains walkable for shopping and dinner, yet the hotel isn't directly on its busiest stretch. Beach trips and sightseeing in northern Okinawa still require a bus, taxi, tour, or rental car.

Good to know

Check-in begins at 2:00 PM, and checkout is at 11:00 AM. The renovated hotel is entirely non-smoking, with a smoking area beside the first-floor entrance.

Parking is first come, first served, and the mechanical garage has vehicle-size limits. Families requesting a cot or bed guard should contact the hotel in advance because availability is limited.
