Overview
Ryukyu-inspired details give JR Kyushu Hotel Blossom Naha a distinctive character among central Naha hotels. Traditional tile, limestone, glass, and craft motifs appear throughout the building, while the 13th-floor library terrace looks across the city.
The location is convenient too. Kokusai Street is one minute away on foot, and Miebashi Station is about five minutes away. Set one street back from the main shopping corridor, the hotel keeps restaurants and shops close without placing its entrance directly on the busiest stretch.
Rooms
The hotel has 218 non-smoking rooms in seven categories. Superior Doubles begin at 23 square metres, Superior Twins at 26 square metres, and Deluxe King rooms occupy bright corner layouts. Every room has wooden flooring, a floor-to-ceiling window, a Simmons bed, and a bathroom with a separate washing area.
Deluxe Twins and Family Rooms can accommodate three guests, while Family Rooms can sleep four with a bunk bed and sofa bed. Four Premium Twins on the upper floors add a glazed view bath overlooking Naha. A Universal Twin provides wider circulation and carefully positioned furniture and switches.
Facilities
The guest-only Library Lounge & Terrace on the 13th floor is the standout shared space. Its books focus on Okinawa, Kyushu, travel, and design, and complimentary coffee is available from 7:00 AM until midnight. Outside, the terrace opens to views across Naha and toward the sea.
A reservation-only relaxation salon is also on the top floor. Everyday facilities include a 24-hour coin laundry on the 11th floor, vending and ice machines, Wi-Fi, a multipurpose room, and a 102-space mechanical car park.
Dining
BARBARESCO 37 serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner in a high-ceilinged first-floor dining room. Breakfast runs from 6:30 to 10:00 AM, with a buffet of about 60 dishes featuring Okinawan and Kyushu ingredients, freshly prepared omelettes, breads, pasta, and local specialties.
Lunch follows a prix-fixe format. At dinner, the restaurant turns to Italian cooking with Okinawan ingredients, including Neapolitan-style pizza and a wine list centered on Piedmont. It's a convenient full evening option, though Kokusai Street brings many more places to eat within easy reach.
Location and transport
The hotel stands on Okiei Street in Naha-Kokusai Dori, about one minute from the main shopping street. Miebashi Station is roughly five minutes away, while Makishi Station is around eight minutes away in the other direction.
Miebashi is the simpler stop for most guests using public transport. Yui Rail runs west through central Naha to the airport and east toward Shuri and Tedako-Uranishi. Neither station connects directly to the hotel, so the final approach is an outdoor city walk.
Airport access
The direct Yui Rail journey from Naha Airport to Miebashi takes 14 minutes. Allow about five more minutes for the walk from the station, plus time for tickets, waiting, and luggage.
The hotel estimates about 15 minutes by taxi via the Umisora Tunnel and National Route 58 when traffic is moving freely. Congestion can change that timing, so the monorail is easier to predict at busy times.
Why stay here
Ryukyu-inspired design, a four-person room category, an all-day restaurant, and the top-floor lounge add character and flexibility to a central Naha stay. Kokusai Street is around the corner, while the nearby airport monorail supports both short stopovers and longer visits.
Kokusai Street gives the neighborhood its energy. The 1.6-kilometre corridor is lined with shops, cafes, restaurants, and bars, while covered arcades and First Makishi Public Market branch off nearby. You won't need a taxi for an evening meal or a first walk around central Naha.
The tradeoff is the urban setting. This isn't a beach resort. Most trips to beaches and northern Okinawa continue by road.
Good to know
Check-in begins at 3:00 PM, and checkout is at 11:00 AM. All guest rooms are non-smoking, with a designated smoking booth beside the first-floor restaurant.
The on-site car park is mechanical, paid, and subject to vehicle-size limits. Kokusai Street also has weekday bus-lane restrictions and becomes pedestrian-priority from noon to 6:00 PM on Sundays, so drivers should check the hotel's route guidance before arrival.
