Transport access and hotel guide

Overview

Between Shin-toyosu Station and Shijo-mae Station, Hotel JAL City Tokyo Toyosu is three minutes on foot from the former and two minutes from the latter. TeamLab Planets lies on one side of the hotel, with Toyosu Market on the other.

The 330 non-smoking rooms occupy floors 6 through 17 of D Tower Toyosu. Rooms are more spacious than those at many compact Tokyo hotels, and the waterfront setting is modern. Reaching central districts, however, requires a Yurikamome ride and a transfer.

Rooms

Rooms start at 21 square meters for a queen and 24 square meters for a moderate twin. Superior rooms measure 27 to 29 square meters, while deluxe twins range from 33 to 38 square meters. Couples and other two-person stays therefore have a meaningful choice of price, floor, and usable space.

The Plus floor occupies levels 16 and 17, where selected queen and twin categories add higher views across the Tokyo Bay area. Outlooks vary by side and room category, so it's worth reading the full room name before paying extra for an upper floor.

Facilities

Self-service machines handle check-in and payment, while the front desk can store luggage before check-in or after departure. Ironing rooms and ice machines are available on selected guest floors.

A 24-hour convenience store occupies the building's ground floor. That's a welcome detail in a waterfront district where shops and restaurants aren't concentrated on every block.

Dining

Siomachi Saryo on the first floor serves a buffet breakfast from 7:00 to 10:30. It remains open for lunch, cafe service, and dinner, giving guests an on-site option throughout the day rather than at breakfast alone.

The buffet combines Japanese and Western dishes. Menus and service hours can change, so check current details if a particular meal is important to your stay.

Location and transport

Shin-toyosu is the better stop for teamLab Planets and the shortest ride to Toyosu Station, one stop away. At Toyosu, the Tokyo Metro Yurakucho Line provides connections toward Ginza-itchome, Yurakucho, and Ikebukuro.

Shijo-mae is closer to Toyosu Market and Senkyaku Banrai. From there, Yurikamome trains run across Ariake and Odaiba; Tokyo Big Sight has its own stop, while Shiodome and Shimbashi are farther along the line. The route is convenient for waterfront attractions and event days, but neither station beside the hotel has its own JR or subway service.

Airport access

Direct Keisei buses connect Haneda and Narita airports with Michino Terrace Toyosu beside Shijo-mae Station. The stop is near Hotel JAL City Tokyo Toyosu, not at the hotel entrance.

Departures are limited, particularly on the Narita route. Check the current timetable before relying on the bus. If the schedule doesn't fit, airport travel requires a rail transfer or a bus connection through another stop in Toyosu.

Why stay here

An early market visit or timed teamLab entry is easier when both destinations are within walking distance. Rooms begin at 21 square meters, and several twin categories provide noticeably more space for luggage or downtime than a basic compact room.

The wider Tokyo-Toyosu waterfront keeps Ariake, Tokyo Big Sight, and Odaiba on the same Yurikamome corridor. The tradeoff is clear: this location favors Tokyo Bay attractions rather than direct subway, JR, or doorstep access to the city's older sightseeing districts.

Good to know

The hotel isn't directly connected to either nearby station, so the final approach is outdoors. Plus-floor rooms are higher, but the exact category still determines whether you receive a particular bay or city view. The nearby airport bus helps only when its limited timetable matches your flight.
