Overview
Between Ebisu Station and Yebisu Garden Place, EBISUHOLIC HOTEL brings compact designer rooms to the quieter southern side of Ebisu. The quickest approach is a five-minute uphill walk from the JR West Exit, while Yebisu Garden Place is about two minutes away in the opposite direction.
The location supports two distinct sides of an Ebisu stay. Restaurants and bars cluster around the station, while Garden Place adds art, open plazas, brewery history, and further dining. The hotel itself keeps things focused: eight non-smoking room types, a light breakfast, and a small collection of everyday guest services rather than the facilities of a large full-service hotel.
Rooms
Rooms range from 16.6 square meters to 37.1 square meters in the top-floor Penthouse. Most doubles and twins measure between 17 and 23.5 square meters, so choosing the right category matters if you have bulky luggage or expect to spend more than sleeping hours in the room.
The smallest Double has a 180-centimeter king bed and a rain shower, but no bathtub. Other categories add baths, twin beds, extra floor space, or step-free access. The 22.3-square-meter Universal Twin has handrails and a level interior, while the Penthouse adds a roof balcony and broad city views. Every room has a Simmons bed and Wi-Fi.
Facilities
The second-floor lobby contains the front desk, a lounge with complimentary drinks, an amenity bar, vending and ice machines, and a separate smoking room. The front desk is staffed around the clock, and staying guests can leave luggage on their arrival and departure days.
There is no hotel or affiliated parking lot. Paid car parks are available nearby, but public transport will be simpler for most visits given the five-minute station walk and Ebisu's wider rail network.
Dining
A complimentary light breakfast is available from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM, and guests can take it back to their rooms. Inclusion varies by accommodation plan, so check the rate details when booking.
Ginza Steak occupies the first and second floors and opens for lunch and dinner. The restaurant specializes in counter-style teppanyaki centered on Wagyu beef, with a private room also available. It provides a substantial evening meal within the building, while the surrounding Ebisu streets offer a much broader selection of restaurants and bars.
Location and transport
The shortest route from the JR West Exit takes about five minutes and climbs uphill. The hill matters. With large bags or a stroller, the longer route from the JR East Exit via the Yebisu Sky Walk avoids the climb and takes about 11 minutes. From Tokyo Metro Exit 1, allow about 13 minutes.
JR Yamanote Line trains connect Ebisu directly with Shibuya, Shinjuku, Shinagawa, and Tokyo. The Saikyo and Shonan-Shinjuku lines provide faster north-south journeys beyond the loop, while the Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line reaches Roppongi, Ginza, Akihabara, and Ueno without a change.
Airport access
Neither Haneda nor Narita Airport has direct rail service from Ebisu. For Haneda, one straightforward route takes the Yamanote Line to Hamamatsucho, followed by the Tokyo Monorail to the airport.
Narita also requires a transfer, such as changing at Shinagawa for a Narita Express train. Connections are straightforward once you're in central Tokyo, but remember the uphill five-minute finish or the longer Sky Walk route when planning an airport journey with luggage.
Why stay here
Four rail lines at Ebisu keep cross-city trips simple, while nearby Yebisu Garden Place brings a calmer side of the neighborhood close to the door. The tradeoff is compact rooms and limited shared facilities.
Ebisu can carry an evening without much planning. Small restaurants and bars spread around the station, while Yebisu Garden Place adds Yebisu Brewery Tokyo, the Tokyo Photographic Art Museum, open plazas, and more dining within a few minutes of the hotel.
