Overview
A one-minute walk from Kushida Shrine Station places BOUNCEE by RIHGA Fukuoka Hakata close to Canal City Hakata and the streets of Hakata Old Town. Compact rooms occupy the upper floors, while Japanese dining and cocktails are served downstairs in Fukuoka-Hakata.
Rooms
All guest rooms are non-smoking. Doubles and most twins measure 18 square meters, while the 27-square-meter twins provide more floor space. Terrace twins retain the 18-square-meter indoor layout and add outdoor space.
Under-bed luggage storage helps make the compact rooms easier to manage. Rooms have shower booths, while guests who want a soak can use the public baths.
Facilities
The second-floor public baths include a sauna and cold-water bath. Coin-operated laundry on the seventh floor is handy when Fukuoka forms one stop on a longer trip.
Dining
Hotaru & Bar serves Hakata dishes such as sesame-dressed mackerel and chicken hotpot, alongside sake, shochu, and cocktails. Dinner begins at 17:00, followed by bar service from 22:00 until midnight. After 22:00, admission is limited to guests aged 18 and over.
Breakfast is served as a Japanese set meal, with choices such as grilled salmon and rice. Service runs from 06:30 to 10:30, with last orders at 10:00.
Location and transport
The hotel is about one minute on foot from Exit 5 of Kushida Shrine Station on the Nanakuma Line. Hakata and Tenjin-minami Station are each one stop away.
From Hakata Station, use the Hakata Exit and allow about ten minutes on foot. Gion Station on the Airport Line is around five minutes away via Exit 5.
Airport access
The Airport Line runs directly from Fukuoka Airport to Gion, followed by a five-minute walk to the hotel. Changing at Hakata for Kushida Shrine Station reduces the street walk but adds a subway transfer.
Fukuoka Airport's subway station connects to the Domestic Terminal. International Terminal passengers should allow extra time for the free shuttle between terminals.
Why stay here
You don't need another trip across town for dinner or drinks. After sightseeing, guests can return for a Japanese meal or cocktails and spend the rest of the evening at the hotel, while Hakata's rail connections remain close by.
Canal City has shopping and a cinema, while Kushida Shrine and the Hakata Machiya Folk Museum introduce local festival traditions and crafts. These neighboring parts of Hakata can be explored on foot between subway trips.
