TRUNK(HOTEL) SAPPORO is scheduled to open on September 17, 2027, in the Sapporo Daibiru building in the city's Odori district. The hotel will have 107 guest rooms, with a spa, restaurants, a live-music lounge, and private entertainment spaces.
Guest rooms will occupy floors 13 to 18, comprising 89 standard rooms and 18 suites, including spa suites. Their "mid-century folklore" design will combine mid-century influences with Hokkaido's landscape and craftsmanship, using wood as a principal material.
The eighteenth-floor TRUNK(BATH HOUSE) will have a reception area with a bar and a roughly 40-meter water channel connecting different bathing areas. The spa will offer ten bathing experiences for guests wearing swimwear, with variations in water, temperature, lighting, and sound.
Separate men's and women's bathing areas will include large communal baths, high-temperature saunas, cold-water baths, and outdoor relaxation areas. A gym will also be on the eighteenth floor.
Sushi Saito will open its first Sapporo restaurant on the tenth floor, combining Edomae sushi techniques with Hokkaido ingredients and food traditions. An all-day restaurant on the same floor will serve dishes made with seasonal Hokkaido ingredients, from breakfast through dinner.
The tenth-floor lounge and bar will host live piano and band performances, with an outdoor terrace fitted with transparent domes in winter. A private studio will include cinema and karaoke facilities and a multipurpose room.
Wedding and event facilities will include a chapel with a six-meter-high ceiling and three banquet rooms: HINATA, MIYABI, and KODACHI. Room rates are expected to range from 60,000 to 600,000 yen.
The hotel will be located at Minami 2-jo Nishi 4-chome, Chuo Ward, Sapporo, Hokkaido.
