Courtyard by Marriott Kyoto Station is scheduled to open on November 16, 2026, a three-minute walk from Kyoto Station’s Hachijo East Exit. Reservations for the new hotel opened on August 6. JR Central Hotels will operate the property.
The nine-story hotel will have 270 guest rooms across ten categories. Standard king rooms will measure approximately 22 square meters, while most larger king and twin rooms will measure approximately 28 square meters. Options include rooms with bathtubs, high-floor rooms and 31-square-meter corner king rooms.
The hotel will also have nine suites measuring approximately 66 square meters, comprising two king suites and seven twin suites. Room sashes will use recycled aluminum from the Tokaido Shinkansen, while the entrance lobby will incorporate Miyako Somagi timber produced in Kyoto.
The 8th Gate, the hotel’s all-day dining venue, is planned to operate from 6:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. It will have 110 seats, including two private rooms, while an adjoining café and bar area will provide another 40 seats. Menus will use ingredients associated with Kyoto and include a breakfast buffet.
The café and bar will serve light meals and coffee during the day. In the evening, it will operate as a bar with live performances including piano music and beverages including sake from local breweries. A fitness gym will also be available.
Planned guest services include temple sightseeing passports offered through JR Central’s Kyoto tourism campaign. Guests will also be able to use LUGGAGE EXPRESS, a same-day baggage delivery service operated by the JR Central Group and JTB using the Tokaido Shinkansen.
Courtyard by Marriott Kyoto Station will be located at 19-1 Higashisannocho, Higashikujo, Minami Ward, Kyoto. The property will have nine floors above ground and one basement level.
