JR Central Hotels will rebrand Hotel Associa Takayama Resort as Hilton Takayama Resort on September 14, 2026. Reservations for stays from the opening date have been available since June 1. The property will be the first Hilton Hotels & Resorts hotel in Gifu Prefecture.
The hotel plans to have 283 guest rooms, but it will begin operations with approximately 90 while renovation work continues. Additional rooms will become available as the project progresses, with all 283 rooms expected to be open by spring 2027. Availability will remain limited until the work is complete.
The planned inventory includes 174 rooms measuring 35 square meters: 142 standard king or twin rooms, ten Japanese-style rooms, 20 executive rooms and two accessible twin rooms. A further 104 rooms will measure 46 square meters, comprising 76 deluxe king, twin or triple rooms, 20 Japanese-Western rooms and eight deluxe executive rooms. Room-type names may change.
Five suites complete the planned room inventory. These consist of one 70-square-meter Japanese-style suite, two 70-square-meter deluxe king suites and two 90-square-meter premium twin suites.
An executive lounge will be added for Hilton Honors Diamond members and guests staying in executive rooms or suites. The renovation will also add a fitness center. Other facilities listed in the project include restaurants, banquet rooms, a shop and an onsen building with large communal baths and open-air baths. Hashimoto Yukio Design Studio is responsible for the interior design.
JR Central Hotels will operate the rebranded property. Hilton Takayama Resort is located at 1134 Echigomachi in Takayama, Gifu Prefecture. A free shuttle bus from JR Takayama Station takes approximately eight minutes.
