Location and transport
Limited express trains from Obihiro Station provide the main long-distance rail connections toward Sapporo and Kushiro. Downtown buses and taxis also gather around the station, which helps when the next part of the trip extends beyond the railway.
You can arrive without a car and explore central Obihiro on foot. Reaching much of Tokachi's countryside, gardens, and hot springs, however, requires a car or a carefully timed bus.
Airport access
Allow roughly 40 minutes by bus from Tokachi-Obihiro Airport. The current route stops by the hotel, so there's no need for a rail transfer.
Services follow flight schedules. Check current bus times before travel, particularly for an early departure or late arrival.
Why stay here
The short station walk, airport-bus stop, breakfast from 6:30, and paid parking simplify both arrival and onward travel. This is a simple overnight stop rather than a stay built around on-site leisure facilities.
Obihiro itself gives the stay character. Butadon and Banei horse racing are local signatures, while gardens, hot springs, and open landscapes spread across the wider Tokachi region.
