The hotel is four minutes on foot from JR Atami Station. Tokaido Shinkansen services connect Atami with Tokyo and cities farther west, while Tokaido and Ito line trains serve regional journeys and eastern Izu.
Its position in Atami Station Area also keeps local buses nearby. MOA Museum of Art is about ten minutes from the station by bus, while Atami Sun Beach is roughly 15 to 20 minutes downhill on foot.
Why stay here
The short station walk removes some of the pressure from an early Shinkansen, a late rail arrival, or an itinerary involving luggage and an onward train. Breakfast and self-check-in keep the stay efficient. Hot-spring time and sightseeing happen elsewhere in Atami.
Around the station, you can browse the shopping streets, use the natural hot-spring footbath outside the JR gates, or catch a bus toward the beach and hillside sights. This location favors train schedules and exploring Atami over having the waterfront outside the door.
Good to know
Atami Station is above the seafront, so the walk back from the beach is uphill. On-site parking is paid and first come, with vehicle-size restrictions for the multilevel garage.
