Overview
Two minutes from Exit 1a of Gaiemmae Station, Tokyu Stay Aoyama Premier combines Ginza Line convenience with rooms designed for longer visits. Omote-sando Station is about eight minutes away, while shops and restaurants occupy the lower floors of Passage Aoyama in Tokyo-Omotesando / Aoyama.
This is a longer-stay hotel rather than a full-service resort. Every room has a washer-dryer and microwave, and four of the six current room categories also have kitchenettes. Reception is on the 13th floor, above the street-level entrances and businesses below.
Rooms
Moderate and Comfort rooms measure 17 square meters and have one 140-centimeter-wide bed. Both include a washer-dryer and microwave but no kitchenette. These are the most compact layouts, so two guests with large cases should compare them carefully with the larger categories.
Residential and Premier Double rooms measure 21 square meters. The Residential has a 140-centimeter bed, while the Premier Double has a wider 160-centimeter bed. Superior Twin rooms measure 25 square meters, and Premier Twins reach 28 square meters; both twin categories have two 120-centimeter beds. All four larger room types include kitchenettes, microwaves, and washer-dryers.
Facilities
The front desk operates around the clock and can store luggage before check-in or after check-out. Rooms also have Wi-Fi, refrigerators, kettles, humidifying air purifiers, and individual air conditioning. Induction cookers are available only in categories with kitchenettes.
There is no hotel parking. Drivers need to use a nearby public car park, while most guests will find the short subway walk simpler.
Dining
Breakfast is served in the room rather than in a restaurant. Guests choose a Japanese or Western set, receive preparation instructions at check-in, and heat the frozen dishes in the room's microwave. The Japanese set includes rice, grilled fish, and pork-and-vegetable miso soup; the Western set pairs bread with soup.
Breakfast is available from 7:00 to 21:00, giving guests more flexibility than a conventional breakfast room. Selections are limited and sold first come, first served. For greater choice, Passage Aoyama and the surrounding streets have cafes and restaurants.
Location and transport
Gaiemmae is on the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line, with direct trains toward Shibuya in one direction and Ginza, Ueno, and Asakusa in the other. Omote-sando Station, about eight minutes away, adds the Hanzomon and Chiyoda lines for trips that would otherwise require another transfer.
Nezu Museum is about 14 minutes away on foot. Meiji Jingu Gaien and Omotesando Hills are around 16 minutes away, while Takeshita Street is about a 19-minute walk. These are reasonable walking options, but the hotel is in Aoyama rather than beside Harajuku Station.
Airport access
Airport access requires a transfer. Allow roughly 60 minutes from Haneda Airport and 90 minutes from Narita Airport, though neither Gaiemmae Station nor the hotel has direct airport rail service. The journey may combine the Ginza Line with another train, an airport bus from a separate stop, or a taxi, so leave room for transfers and road traffic.
Why stay here
A two-minute walk to the Ginza Line simplifies daily travel, while the washer-dryer, microwave, and optional kitchenette take some of the friction out of a multi-night visit. The tradeoff is limited hotel dining and no direct JR or airport train access.
Beyond the hotel, a day can revolve around Aoyama's architecture and galleries or Omotesando's shops and cafes. Meiji Jingu Gaien adds open space and sports venues to the north, while Harajuku's busier fashion streets are within walking distance without defining the immediate setting.
Good to know
During consecutive-night stays, simple housekeeping is provided only on request and covers towels, nightwear, bathmats, and rubbish removal. Guests staying seven nights or more also receive a full room cleaning once a week.
The station's official English name is Gaiemmae, although Gaienmae often appears on third-party maps. The hotel is close to the station but isn't directly connected, and reception is reached on the 13th floor after entering the building.
