Overview

From Kanazawa Station's East Exit, it's about a seven-minute walk to Super Hotel Premier Kanazawa Station East in Honmachi. Omicho Market is also about seven minutes away on foot, so you can reach its seafood stalls and lunch counters without taking a bus.

Rooms are compact, but the natural hot spring baths remain open overnight, so a late train arrival needn't mean missing a soak. A complimentary evening bar gives guests somewhere to unwind before dinner.

Rooms

Standard rooms measure 12 square meters and have one 150-centimeter-wide double bed for one or two guests. They're compact, especially for two people traveling with luggage. Hollywood Twin rooms provide 17 to 19 square meters, while Family rooms measure 21 to 23 square meters and sleep up to four.

Families or friends who want separate sleeping areas can book two connecting Super Rooms, each with a double bed and a loft bed, for up to six guests. Women-only rooms are also available, while Theatre rooms replace the television with a projector.

If the pillow in your room doesn't suit you, alternatives are available from the lobby selection.

Facilities

The separate men's and women's public baths use natural hot spring water transported from Kaga. Both remain open from 3pm until 9:30am the following morning, allowing time for a bath after an evening out or before breakfast.

Coin-operated laundry facilities are available around the clock, and detergent is provided free. That's helpful on longer trips when you need to wash clothes between sightseeing days.

Dining

Breakfast costs extra. The buffet runs from 6:30am to 9am, with Japanese and Western dishes, freshly baked bread, organic vegetable salads, and regional food from Ishikawa. Its early start gives guests time to eat before a morning train or a day exploring Kanazawa.

From 5pm to 9pm, the lounge serves complimentary alcoholic and soft drinks, including wine and cocktails. The welcome bar provides drinks rather than a full evening meal; restaurants around the station offer dinner options.

Location and transport

Look for the wooden Tsuzumimon Gate at the East Exit, also known as the Kenrokuen Gate. Kanazawa Loop Buses leave from this side for Kenrokuen Garden, Kanazawa Castle, and the teahouse streets of Higashi Chaya.

Direct Hokuriku Shinkansen trains connect Kanazawa with Tokyo; Toyama and Fukui are also on the line for day trips. For Kyoto or Osaka, change at Tsuruga between the Shinkansen and a Thunderbird limited express. The hotel isn't connected to the station, so allow for the outdoor walk as well as the time needed to reach your platform.

Airport access

Buses to Komatsu Airport leave from stop 3 outside Kanazawa Station's West Gate and take about 45 minutes. Since the hotel is on the opposite side of the station, allow time to walk through from the East Exit before reaching the bus stop. Road traffic can lengthen the journey.

Why stay here

The short walk from the Shinkansen makes this an easy place to start or finish a Kanazawa visit, with Omicho Market close enough for a meal between train journeys. The main compromise is room space, so couples with large bags may want a larger category rather than a Standard room.

Omicho has seafood rice bowls and sushi for lunch. For souvenirs in the Kanazawa Station Area, the Anto shopping area inside the station's Hyakubangai complex sells local sweets, sake, and crafts.

Good to know

All guest rooms are non-smoking, though a designated smoking area is available. Hotel parking is limited, requires a reservation, and is offered only with accommodation booked through the hotel's official website. If you book elsewhere, plan to use a nearby paid parking lot.
