Overview
A two-minute walk from Shizuoka Station's South Exit brings you to Shizutetsu Hotel Prezio Shizuoka Ekinan. The short route simplifies a Tokaido Shinkansen stopover, an early departure, or a late arrival.
Breakfast begins at 6:30. A convenience store connects to the first floor, while coin laundry on three guest floors is helpful when you're staying for more than one night.
Rooms
Standard single rooms measure 16 to 18 square meters, with double beds and broad writing desks. The 20-square-meter categories include deluxe singles with queen beds and corner twin rooms. A 25-square-meter deluxe twin adds a separate bathroom and toilet.
A step-free universal room is also available. The women-only floor has the main single and twin categories, along with dedicated laundry machines and additional in-room items.
Facilities
Coin laundry is available on the fifth, eighth, and twelfth floors. The eighth-floor machines are reserved for guests on the women-only floor. The breakfast restaurant can also be arranged as a meeting or banquet room.
Parking requires more planning. The hotel has only five spaces, while priority spaces and electric-vehicle charging require advance arrangements. Nearby paid parking is the alternative when the hotel lot is full.
Dining
The second-floor breakfast buffet runs from 6:30 to 9:30, with last entry at 9:00. Shizuoka specialties include whitebait, black hanpen, and several local teas, and takeaway coffee can be brought back to your room.
The hotel doesn't operate a full lunch or dinner restaurant. For later meals, the station buildings and streets around the South Exit provide more choice.
Location and transport
Shizuoka Station serves both the Tokaido Shinkansen and the JR Tokaido Main Line. Because the hotel is south of the tracks, you can reach either service without first crossing to the downtown side.
Most central sightseeing begins north of the station. Across the broader Shizuoka Station Area, the station buildings cover meals and local gifts, while Gofukumachi, Aoba Oden Street, and Sunpu Castle Park lie beyond the North Exit.
Airport access
Direct buses run from Shizuoka Station to Mt. Fuji Shizuoka Airport, with the journey scheduled to take about 50 minutes. They don't stop at the hotel, so allow enough time to reach stop 14 at the station.
Seats are limited, and road conditions can cause delays. Check the current timetable and leave a comfortable margin before your flight.
Why stay here
The two-minute station walk matters most before an early train or after a late arrival. On a longer visit, the larger twin rooms, laundry facilities, and connected convenience store help reduce everyday errands.
For sightseeing, cross to the north side for Shizuoka's central shopping streets, Sunpu Castle Park, and the oden lanes around Aoba. The location favors train timing, but downtown remains close enough to explore on foot.
Good to know
The hotel isn't directly connected to Shizuoka Station, and the short approach is outdoors. Parking is limited and paid, while airport buses depart from the station rather than the hotel entrance.
