Overview

Shangri-La Tokyo is a luxury hotel in Marunouchi Trust Tower Main, beside Tokyo Station and within Tokyo Station and Marunouchi. It works well for travelers who want a high-service Tokyo Station base with Shinkansen access, airport routes, Marunouchi and Nihonbashi close by, and Ginza and the Imperial Palace area within easy reach.

Rooms

The hotel has 200 rooms and suites on high floors. Room categories include Deluxe rooms, Imperial Garden View rooms, Premier rooms, Horizon Club rooms, Executive Suite, Premier Suite, Shangri-La Suite, Presidential Suite, and an inter-connecting Deluxe Imperial Garden View option. Published room sizes start at 50 square meters for Deluxe rooms, with Premier rooms and Executive Suites at 68 square meters and larger suites reaching 120, 150, and 269 square meters.

Facilities

Facilities include Chi, The Spa, a health club, personal training, a 20-meter swimming pool, concierge service, luggage storage, meeting and conference space, valet parking, laundry service, and Tokyo Station platform meet-and-greet service. The hotel also lists family-support services such as babysitting, stroller rental, baby chairs for dining, and accessible guest rooms.

Dining

Dining is centered on Piacere, Nadaman, and The Lobby Lounge. Piacere is the hotel's Italian restaurant, while Nadaman is the Japanese restaurant. The Lobby Lounge adds afternoon tea, drinks, and a more relaxed meeting point, and The Boutique sells sweets and hotel items.

Location and transport

The hotel is about one minute from Tokyo Station's Nihombashi Exit and about two minutes from the Yaesu North Exit. Tokyo Station gives direct access to Shinkansen services, JR city and regional lines, Narita Express, and the Tokyo Metro Marunouchi Line. Otemachi and Nihombashi subway stations are also nearby, but Tokyo Station is the main arrival point for this hotel.

Airport access

Narita Airport access is available by Narita Express to Tokyo Station or by airport limousine bus to the Tokyo Station area. Haneda Airport access works by airport limousine bus to Tokyo Station, Tokyo Monorail via Hamamatsucho, Keikyu via Shinagawa, taxi, or arranged hotel limousine service. The hotel asks guests to reserve hotel limousine service in advance.

Why stay here

Choose Shangri-La Tokyo when the trip needs a luxury hotel with very strong Tokyo Station access, larger room sizes than many central Tokyo hotels, dining and spa facilities on site, and staff support for station arrivals. It is especially useful for Shinkansen departures, Narita Express plans, business trips in Marunouchi or Nihonbashi, and travelers who want a polished station-side base rather than a nightlife district.

Good to know

Tokyo Station is large, so the Nihombashi and Yaesu North exits are the most useful references for this hotel. Travelers arriving by Keiyo Line, subway, taxi, or Shinkansen should still check the exact route through the station before arrival.
