Overview
A pedestrian deck leads from Asahibashi Station to Rihga Royal Gran Okinawa's second-floor entrance in about two minutes, with Naha Bus Terminal equally close. Direct airport rail and buses across Okinawa Main Island make the location particularly convenient for guests arriving by air and continuing by public transport.
Reception is 14 floors above street level. The hotel's 157 rooms occupy floors 6 to 13, below the lobby and Dining19, creating an unusual top-down layout. Kokusai Street is about ten minutes away on foot, close enough for dinner or shopping without placing guests on its busiest stretch.
Rooms
Every guest room measures at least 35 square meters. Standard-floor rooms occupy floors 6 to 10, while Premier rooms are on floors 11 to 13. City-facing and bayside categories are available, and view-bath layouts place the bathtub beside the window.
Many 35-square-meter twin rooms can accommodate a third guest on an extra bed. Four Gran Suites measure 52 square meters and sleep up to four, while the single 70-square-meter Royal Suite is arranged for two. The main choices are view, bath position, floor, and occupancy rather than small differences in standard amenities.
Premier-floor bookings add several benefits. Breakfast is included, tea and coffee are served in the top-floor lounge, and guests receive a welcome cocktail, earlier check-in, and noon checkout. Priority for a window seat at dinner is another reason to compare the exact benefits before paying for the upgrade.
Facilities
Service is more hands-on than at a compact city hotel. Valet parking and concierge support make arrivals easier. Staff can hold luggage, arrange paid laundry, and deliver ice. Shoe care and in-room relaxation treatments are also available.
The front desk is on the 14th floor rather than at street level. A convenience store on the ground floor of the same building handles quick purchases, and free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel. All guest rooms are non-smoking, with a designated smoking space on the lobby floor.
Dining
Dining19 occupies the 14th floor as a restaurant, lounge, and bar. Large windows look across Naha, the East China Sea, and the Kerama Islands, with bright daytime views giving way to city lights after dark.
Breakfast runs from 7:00 to 10:00 AM. The buffet combines Japanese and Western dishes with Okinawan staples such as yushi tofu, champuru, mozuku, and Okinawa soba. Lunch and dinner follow later, with roast beef among the restaurant's signature dishes, while the lounge and bar continue into the evening.
Location and transport
The station deck is the key connection in Naha-Asahibashi. From the East Exit, follow the bus-terminal side of the elevated walkway and enter the hotel on the second floor, then take the elevator to reception.
Naha Bus Terminal is about two minutes away and provides broader island connections beyond Yui Rail. Kokusai Street is roughly ten minutes away on foot, while Kencho-mae is the next monorail stop east for the prefectural-office side of central Naha.
Airport access
Yui Rail travels directly from Naha Airport to Asahibashi in 11 minutes. The remaining walk follows the station-side deck to the hotel entrance and takes about two minutes, with no change of train.
The hotel doesn't operate a shuttle. By car, the airport trip can take about ten minutes in light traffic, but the monorail is more predictable when central roads are busy.
Why stay here
An airport arrival and an onward bus can both be managed without crossing Naha by taxi. The station link, nearby bus terminal, rooms of at least 35 square meters, and top-floor restaurant are particularly helpful for a first or final city night. This isn't a beach resort.
Kokusai Street remains close enough for shopping and dinner, and the tourist information center above the bus terminal can help with routes around the island. Staying directly on the shopping street would put more activity outside the door; this location instead favors transport connections and a more full-service hotel experience.
Good to know
Standard-floor check-in begins at 3:00 PM, with checkout at 11:00 AM. Premier-floor guests can arrive from 2:00 PM and leave at noon, although individual plans may specify different times.
Parking is paid and can't be reserved. The front desk, restaurant, lounge, bar, and smoking space are all on the 14th floor, so first-time arrivals should enter on the second floor and take the elevator rather than look for reception at street level.
