Overview
Oita Airport buses stop at Beppu Kitahama, directly beside Nishitetsu Resort Inn Beppu. Beppu Station is about ten minutes away on foot, so bus connections are especially convenient while JR trains remain within reach.
Compact rooms keep the stay straightforward, while hot-spring public baths offer more than the usual business hotel setup. A Japanese and Western breakfast buffet features Oita dishes, and nearby Kitahama restaurants cover lunch and dinner.
Rooms
The 184 rooms are divided among single, double, economy twin, and standard twin categories. Singles measure 12 square meters, doubles and economy twins measure 15 square meters, and standard twins provide 17 square meters. Every category accommodates no more than two guests.
All rooms have Simmons beds. Singles and doubles contain one bed, while economy and standard twins have two. Couples wanting more floor space should compare the twin categories; families and larger groups will need more than one room.
Facilities
The public bathing area draws Beppu hot-spring water and has indoor and open-air pools. Guests can soak without traveling to a separate bathhouse, a welcome option after a long bus or rail journey.
Wi-Fi, coin laundry, vending machines, and luggage storage cover routine needs. Paid parking is available on site and in a nearby second lot, with spaces allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.
Dining
Breakfast is a Japanese and Western buffet featuring regional dishes such as Nakatsu-style fried chicken and whitebait. It isn't included with every room plan, so check the booking terms if you intend to eat at the hotel.
There is no advertised lunch or dinner service. Nearby Kitahama restaurants and a convenience store let guests keep evening meals flexible without returning to the station area.
Location and transport
The hotel is in the Beppu Station Area, east of the railway tracks and toward the waterfront side of central Beppu. The published walk from the station's East Exit takes about ten minutes. It isn't a station-front stay.
Beppu Kitahama Bus Center is much closer. Highway buses from Fukuoka and scheduled sightseeing buses for the Hells use neighboring stops, while local services run to Kannawa and other hot-spring districts. The Hells are too far for a practical walk, so plan to use a bus, taxi, or car.
Airport access
Oita Kotsu Airliner buses run directly between Oita Airport and Beppu Kitahama. With the stop beside the hotel, this is simpler with luggage than taking the airport bus to Beppu Station and walking back through central Beppu.
This is a scheduled public bus, not a hotel shuttle. Journey times vary by service and traffic, so check the current timetable before an early flight or tight connection.
Why stay here
Kitahama's bus connections and the hotel's hot-spring baths are the main reasons to stay. Airport arrivals, Hells sightseeing buses, and JR departures can all be managed from central Beppu; the tradeoffs are compact rooms and an outdoor ten-minute walk to the station.
Good to know
Standard check-in is from 3:00 PM to midnight, and checkout is by 10:00 AM. Breakfast may cost extra, depending on the room plan.
Parking is paid and cannot be reserved. If the hotel's two main parking areas are full, drivers should be prepared to use a nearby contracted lot.
