Overview
Five minutes on foot from Tokyo Station via the Yaesu North Exit, karaksa hotel TOKYO STATION makes early Shinkansen departures, JR journeys, and direct Narita Express trips straightforward.
There's no direct station connection. Still, the 151-room hotel combines a short Yaesu-side walk with more options for families and groups than its compact exterior might suggest.
Rooms
Rooms range from 13.6 to 43.1 square meters. The 13.6-square-meter Hollywood Twin has less open floor space than the other categories, while king rooms and most standard twins measure about 21 to 22 square meters. Family Triple and Family Quadruple rooms provide 29.2 square meters.
Japanese Family rooms are the largest, measuring between 32.9 and 43.1 square meters and accommodating four or six guests on futons. Connecting layouts also sleep up to six. Internal doors join adjacent rooms, so families and groups can have two private room zones without booking unrelated rooms on different floors.
Facilities
The facilities cover the essentials for a city stay. A third-floor laundromat helps on longer trips, while free luggage storage is available before check-in and for same-day collection after checkout. Automated check-in and checkout machines can also shorten arrival and departure routines.
Families with small children can use a nursing room equipped with a changing table and baby items. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel, and the room lineup includes one accessible guest room.
Dining
The first-floor cafe serves a light buffet breakfast from 7:00 AM to 9:30 AM, with last entry at 9:00 AM. Bread, soup, salad, yogurt, and drinks make this a quick start rather than a substantial full-service breakfast.
From 10:00 AM until midnight, the same room becomes a guest space with free drinks. Other in-house dining is limited, but Tokyo Station, Yaesu Chikagai, and the surrounding streets provide far more choice for lunch and dinner.
Location and transport
The hotel is on the Yaesu side of Tokyo Station and Marunouchi, about five minutes from Tokyo Station's Yaesu North Exit and six minutes from Nihombashi Station. Tokyo Station serves the Shinkansen, extensive JR routes, the Narita Express, and the Tokyo Metro Marunouchi Line.
Nihombashi Station adds the Ginza, Tozai, and Toei Asakusa lines. It can be helpful for direct subway journeys, but Tokyo Station remains the simpler option for luggage, intercity trains, and most arrivals associated with the hotel's name.
Airport access
From Narita Airport, the Narita Express runs directly to Tokyo Station, followed by the final walk from the Yaesu side. Yaesu-side airport buses provide another option, though departure points and schedules should be checked for the travel date.
From Haneda Airport, one rail route takes the Tokyo Monorail to Hamamatsucho, followed by a JR train to Tokyo Station. A transfer is required. The hotel doesn't operate an airport shuttle, so compare rail services with Yaesu-side buses based on the timetable and amount of luggage.
Why stay here
The combination of a five-minute station walk and rooms for up to six is particularly helpful when a family or group has an early long-distance train. Connecting rooms add privacy, although the location isn't equivalent to staying inside or directly connected to Tokyo Station.
The Yaesu side also has plenty to fill the time between journeys. Tokyo Station's shops and restaurants, Yaesu Chikagai, and Daimaru Tokyo are nearby, while Nihombashi's department stores and older commercial streets begin a short walk to the east.
Good to know
The 13.6-square-meter Hollywood Twin is compact, so compare room categories carefully if you're traveling with several large bags. The hotel has no large public bath, full-service restaurant, general guest parking lot, or shuttle bus. Check current breakfast hours and airport timetables before travel.
