Hotel Strata Naha

Overview

Just 30 seconds on foot from Miebashi Station, Hotel Strata Naha combines unusually quick Yui Rail access with a central Naha location. Kokusai Street is around eight minutes away, so the city's main shopping and dining district is within an easy walk.

The 221-room hotel has more character than a basic station-side stay. Okinawan craftwork features throughout the wood-led interiors, while a garden courtyard, seasonal pool, and rooftop bar provide places to unwind beyond the guest rooms. This is not a beach resort.

Rooms

Ten room types range from 16-square-meter Compact Rooms to 65 to 67-square-meter Strata Suites. Compact Rooms sleep one or two guests and have walk-in rain showers rather than bathtubs. They are more practical for brief stays than for guests who want a larger bathroom.

Standard Twin Rooms measure 22 to 24 square meters and include balconies, separate toilets, and bathrooms with bathtubs. Other categories add features such as garden terraces, tatami sitting areas, higher-floor views, or suite layouts. Several twin and suite options accommodate three or four guests, but capacity and bathroom details vary by category, so check carefully before booking.

Facilities

The courtyard has a 14-meter outdoor pool and a separate children's pool. Both are reserved for hotel guests and operate seasonally from April through the end of October, currently between 8:00 AM and 10:00 PM.

A guest-only gym remains open around the clock. Coin laundry, vending and ice machines, and a designated smoking area cover everyday needs, while all guest rooms are non-smoking. The 48-space mechanical car park is paid and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Dining

Cafe Strata serves a breakfast buffet from 7:00 to 10:30 AM, blending traditional home cooking with contemporary Okinawan dishes. It reopens for lunch and cafe service until 3:00 PM. The menu includes galettes and Dutch babies, and the dining room looks onto the courtyard.

MOSS okinawa serves a course menu from a 12-seat counter. On the top floor, Sky Salon opens from Thursday through Sunday for afternoon tea and evening drinks, with an outdoor terrace overlooking Naha. Its schedule can change for events or private bookings.

Location and transport

The hotel is in Naha-Kokusai Dori, immediately south of Miebashi Station. The final walk is outdoors but exceptionally short, which helps when arriving with luggage. Yui Rail continues through central Naha on the same route.

Kokusai Street is about eight minutes away on foot. Its shops, restaurants, bars, covered arcades, and First Makishi Public Market provide plenty to explore without a car. Tomari's passenger terminal is farther away. The hotel estimates an eight-minute drive from the lobby.

Airport access

Yui Rail runs directly between Miebashi and Naha Airport in 14 minutes. From the station, the hotel is only a 30-second outdoor walk away. Public-transport arrivals have a notably simple route into central Naha.

The hotel also estimates a taxi journey of about 15 minutes when traffic is moving freely. Road conditions can affect that timing, and there is no advertised door-to-door airport shuttle.

Why stay here

The direct airport rail link simplifies a first or last night in Okinawa and keeps a car-free central Naha stay straightforward. Larger room categories and the children's pool help families, while compact rooms and the 24-hour gym are useful on shorter business trips.

Kokusai Street brings shopping, restaurants, bars, covered arcades, and First Makishi Public Market within walking distance. The pool and rooftop venue give the hotel a less utilitarian feel than many station-side stays, but beaches and most destinations in northern Okinawa still require a bus, taxi, tour, or rental car.

Good to know

Check-in begins at 3:00 PM, and checkout is at 11:00 AM. All guest rooms are non-smoking. Compact Rooms have showers but no bathtubs, and guests needing space for three or four people should verify the occupancy of their exact room category.

The pool operates only from April through October. Sky Salon currently opens four days a week, and the mechanical car park can't be reserved. The final walk from Miebashi Station is extremely short, but there is no indoor connection.
