Transport access and hotel guide

Overview

Near Nayabashi Bridge on the Horikawa, Hotel JAL City Nagoya Nishiki occupies a central position between Nagoya Station and Sakae. Nagoya Fushimi Station is seven minutes away on foot, while Nagoya Station takes about 15 minutes on foot or five minutes by taxi.

The rooms are the main draw. All 216 have separate bathrooms and toilets, and entry-level categories start at 22.1 square metres. That layout is particularly convenient for couples or families sharing a room, though every train journey begins with a walk.

Rooms

All rooms are non-smoking, with queen and twin layouts ranging from 22.1 to 32.9 square metres. Simple Twin rooms can accommodate a third guest, while the Universal Design Twin has the largest layout. Families may also request limited loan items such as a cot, bed guard, step stool, floor mat, or baby bath.

Each room has a Japanese-style bathtub, separate toilet, and rainfall shower. Simmons beds and individual air conditioning support a comfortable stay, while a refrigerator, safe, and air purifier with humidifier cover everyday needs. Televisions support screen mirroring, and both Wi-Fi and wired internet are available.

Facilities

Shared facilities are modest but helpful. Guests can collect coffee, tea, and selected toiletries from the amenity bar, and a drinks machine and ice machine are available on the third floor. The front desk also accepts paid laundry orders on eligible days.

There is no self-service coin laundry. For a longer stay, you'll need to plan around the laundry service's collection schedule rather than wash clothes on demand.

Dining

Cafe Canal 1610 occupies the second floor, serving a breakfast buffet, lunch, and dinner, although lunch and dinner follow a more limited schedule. Breakfast runs from 6:30 am to 10:00 am, with last entry at 9:30 am.

The buffet combines the hotel's own French toast with local dishes such as Hatcho miso soup and oden, kishimen noodles, and ochazuke. Breakfast isn't included with every room rate, so check your selected plan before booking.

Location and transport

Exit 8 at Fushimi Station is the starting point for the seven-minute walk. The station serves the Higashiyama and Tsurumai subway lines, with Nagoya Station one stop west and Sakae one stop east on the Higashiyama Line. Kokusai Center Station is another option, about nine minutes away on foot.

Within Nagoya-Fushimi / Marunouchi, the hotel is toward the Nagoya Station side of the district. Walking to the main rail hub is possible, but a taxi is easier with heavy luggage or in poor weather.

Airport access

From Chubu Centrair International Airport, the fastest Meitetsu Mu Sky trains reach Meitetsu Nagoya in about 28 minutes. From there, take a taxi to the hotel or transfer to the Higashiyama Line for the one-stop ride to Fushimi, followed by the seven-minute walk.

Rail is the clearest option when timing matters. The Centrair limousine bus provides an alternative, but road traffic and the final walk from the bus stop make that journey less predictable.

Why stay here

Separate bathrooms and toilets give couples, families, and small groups a more comfortable shared-room setup without requiring a move into the luxury price tier. Triple-capable rooms and loan items help with family logistics, while the 6:30 am breakfast start supports early sightseeing or business plans.

The location also balances several parts of central Nagoya. Shikemichi's preserved merchant streets lie toward Nagoya Station, while the Nagoya City Science Museum, City Art Museum, and Misonoza are in the wider Fushimi district. Sakae's shopping and evening venues are one subway stop away.

Good to know

This isn't a station-front hotel. The seven-minute walk from Fushimi is reasonable for most travelers, but it can feel longer with luggage, children, or summer heat.

Check-in begins at 3:00 pm and check-out is at 11:00 am. The affiliated parking area has only 18 spaces, operates on a first-come, first-served basis, and costs overnight guests ¥1,800 per night.
