Transport access and hotel guide

Overview

Courtyard by Marriott Nagoya overlooks the Horikawa in central Nagoya, about eight minutes on foot from Nagoya Fushimi Station. Nagoya Station is roughly a 15-minute walk or a short taxi ride in the other direction. Opened in March 2022, the hotel has 360 rooms, including 10 suites.

This is a modern international-chain stay away from the main station complex. River-inspired interiors add local character, while two dining venues, a 24-hour gym, and meeting space accommodate both sightseeing and work trips.

Rooms

The 360 rooms include king and twin layouts, connecting options for families or small groups, and 10 suites with extra space. Cushions made with Arimatsu Shibori fabric and tea sets from Tokoname bring Aichi craft traditions into the contemporary interiors.

Bathrooms have rainfall showers, and each room provides space to work. Category details and occupancy vary, so guests who need connecting rooms or a suite should confirm the exact arrangement when booking.

Facilities

The fitness center is open around the clock and has Technogym equipment for hotel guests. A business center and three function rooms accommodate meetings and events, while room service and daily housekeeping provide full-service convenience.

Wi-Fi is available in guest rooms. Marriott Bonvoy members receive complimentary in-room internet when booking directly. On-site parking is limited, costs ¥2,200 per day, and is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Dining

CRUST Dining & Bar serves international food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The breakfast buffet begins early enough for a full day of sightseeing or work, but it isn't complimentary unless the selected rate includes it.

THE LOUNGE changes character throughout the day. Coffee, homemade pastries, and afternoon tea give way to cocktails and local drinks in the evening. It's a casual alternative to the main restaurant.

Location and transport

Fushimi Station is about eight minutes away and serves the Higashiyama and Tsurumai subway lines. Nagoya Station is one stop west on the Higashiyama Line, with Tokaido Shinkansen services, JR trains, and Meitetsu airport trains. Sakae is one stop east for major shopping and evening plans.

The walk to Nagoya Station takes about 15 minutes, while a taxi takes roughly five minutes in normal traffic. That difference matters with luggage. The hotel is in Nagoya-Fushimi / Marunouchi, between the main station district and Sakae rather than directly beside either one.

Airport access

From Chubu Centrair International Airport, the fastest Meitetsu Mu Sky trains reach Meitetsu Nagoya in about 28 minutes. From there, continue by taxi or transfer to the Higashiyama Line for the one-stop ride to Fushimi, followed by the walk to the hotel.

The hotel doesn't provide an airport shuttle. Allow time to transfer between the Meitetsu and subway areas at Nagoya Station, particularly with large bags or during busy periods.

Why stay here

Fushimi is one subway stop from both Nagoya Station and Sakae. Shinkansen and airport trains are within easy reach to the west, while shopping and dinner plans lie to the east on the same line. Connecting rooms, a 24-hour gym, business facilities, and an all-day restaurant also help with longer stays or schedules combining meetings and sightseeing.

Across and along the Horikawa, the wider area retains traces of Nagoya's merchant history around Shikemichi. The Nagoya City Science Museum, City Art Museum, and Misonoza theater are also in the broader Fushimi district, adding worthwhile stops before taking the subway elsewhere.

Good to know

This isn't a station-front hotel. The walk from Fushimi is manageable without heavy bags, but a taxi from Nagoya Station may be easier after a long journey or in poor weather.

Check-in begins at 3:00 pm, and check-out is at noon. Breakfast isn't free with every rate, pets aren't allowed, and on-site parking is limited.
