Overview
Guest rooms at Cerulean Tower Tokyu Hotel begin on the 19th floor, offering a higher vantage point than many of Shibuya's lower-rise accommodations. Shibuya Station is about a five-minute walk away, and direct limousine buses connect the hotel with Haneda and Narita airports.
The hotel offers a broad range of services beyond convenient access to the crossing. Dining spans formal Japanese and French restaurants, casual all-day meals, bars, and a jazz club. Other amenities include a fitness club, meeting rooms, and a hospitality room for guests to use before check-in or after checkout.
Rooms
Standard-floor double rooms range from 28.4 to 31.2 square meters. Superior King rooms measure about 37.6 square meters, Deluxe King rooms offer 42.6 square meters, and Corner King and Twin rooms provide roughly 49 square meters along with broader city views.
The 60-square-meter Japanese Suite combines Western beds with a Japanese-style living area. Executive rooms occupy floors 32 through 36 and include lounge access, while the 37.6-square-meter Universal Room has a wheelchair-friendly twin layout on the 19th floor.
Facilities
The fitness club includes a gym, a 20-meter heated indoor pool, a jet bath, and a sauna. Overnight guests can also use the hospitality room to change clothes, organize luggage, or rest while waiting for their room or after checkout.
Meeting rooms are available by reservation. The hotel also provides room service, a kids' room, paid basement parking, and free Wi-Fi in guest rooms and the main public spaces.
Dining
The dining selection is extensive. Options include Japanese cuisine at Sakuragaoka, Provençal cooking at Coucagno, Sichuan dishes at Szechwan Restaurant Chen, teppanyaki, sushi, and all-day dining at Caramelo.
On the 40th floor, Coucagno and Bellovisto pair meals or drinks with expansive views across Tokyo. The tower also has a garden lounge, cigar bar, jazz club, pastry shop, and in-room dining, giving guests plenty of alternatives to the restaurants around Shibuya.
Location and transport
The hotel is on the Sakuragaoka side of Shibuya Station, near National Route 246. Shibuya's extensive network of JR, private railway, and subway lines provides easy connections across Tokyo, including routes toward Shinjuku, Harajuku, and Ginza.
Although the walk is short, the hotel is not directly connected to the station. The west-side or New South Gate routes are the most convenient, but Shibuya is a large, multi-level complex, so the correct exit may not be immediately obvious on a first visit.
Airport access
Airport limousine buses stop directly at the hotel. Typical journey times are about 60 minutes from Haneda Airport and 85 minutes from Narita Airport, though traffic may affect the trip.
Rail is another option, but the door-to-door bus is generally easier with large luggage because it avoids navigating Shibuya Station after the flight.
Why stay here
Cerulean Tower Tokyu Hotel suits travelers who want to stay close to Shibuya while having spacious room options, skyline views, extensive dining, and direct airport buses. Its Sakuragaoka location trades direct station access for a quieter high-rise setting.
Shibuya is one of Tokyo's leading centers for fashion, shopping, arts, and nightlife. The crossing and surrounding commercial streets offer cafes and contemporary culture throughout the day, while the hotel's restaurants, live jazz, and high-floor bar provide a more relaxed change of pace in the evening.
Good to know
The Executive Lounge is limited to guests aged 13 and older. Access to the fitness club's indoor pool is restricted to guests aged 18 and older, so families should not expect these facilities to be available to younger children.
The hotel is about five minutes from Shibuya Station but has no direct connection. Because the station is large and spread across several levels, the first walk can feel less straightforward than the short distance suggests.
