Just three minutes on foot from Ikebukuro Station, Centurion Hotel Ikebukuro keeps the east side's shops and entertainment close. Hareza is about a minute away, while Sunshine City lies farther along the shopping district. The location works equally well for days spent exploring Tokyo and evenings around Ikebukuro.
Rooms are compact, and the shared facilities focus on everyday needs. Plan to spend most of the day out. Travelers looking for a quiet retreat or extensive on-site facilities may prefer another hotel.

Room choice matters here. Standard singles and doubles start at about 14 square meters and accommodate one or two guests. Superior Queen and Superior King rooms add a sofa bed for a third guest, while the 28-square-meter Deluxe Family room can accommodate up to five.
Twin rooms begin at about 22 square meters, and a barrier-free room of the same published size is also available. Even the larger categories have typical Tokyo city-hotel proportions, so compare the floor area and bed arrangement carefully if several people are sharing.
Facilities
Shared facilities are modest but cover routine needs. Coin laundry helps on longer trips, while a microwave, ice machine, and vending machines are available for day-to-day convenience. Paid parking requires a phone reservation and has vehicle-size restrictions.
Dining
Guests with a breakfast-included plan eat at the Denny's restaurant in the building. Breakfast runs from 6:00 AM to 11:00 AM, with last orders at 10:30 AM.
The surrounding east-side streets provide far more choice for other meals. Options range from quick ramen and casual restaurants to department-store food floors and bars, so dinner rarely requires much planning unless you have a particular place in mind.
Location and transport
Ikebukuro Station brings JR, Tokyo Metro, Tobu, and Seibu services together in one large rail complex. JR and subway lines cover most trips around central Tokyo, while the private railways provide routes toward destinations such as Kawagoe and western Tokyo.
Staying on the east side avoids crossing the station after arrival. Check the railway operator and exit before setting out, since Ikebukuro's extensive concourses can turn a wrong-side exit into a much longer walk with luggage.
Airport access
Selected Narita Express services connect Narita Airport and Ikebukuro without a transfer when the timetable fits. Other Narita routes require a transfer, while trips from Haneda generally use rail connections or an airport bus to the wider Ikebukuro area. None provides a hotel-door shuttle.
Why stay here
A three-minute walk to the station keeps daily travel flexible, and rooms accommodating up to five give small groups an option near the east-side commercial streets. The tradeoff is limited room space and a modest selection of shared facilities.
Sunshine City combines shopping with an aquarium, observation deck, and indoor attractions. Anime and manga shops, including the Animate flagship, are concentrated east of the station, and several large cinemas are nearby. You can easily spend a full day in this part of Ikebukuro without boarding another train.
Good to know
The hotel is close to Ikebukuro Station but isn't directly connected. Breakfast is limited to eligible room plans, and the small paid parking facility requires a phone reservation and is subject to vehicle-size limits.
