Overview
Centurion Hotel Classic Nara is five minutes on foot from JR Nara Station and seven from Kintetsu Nara, so arrivals on either railway have a straightforward walk. JR Nara also has direct airport buses nearby, while Kintetsu Nara provides the shorter approach to Nara Park.
Modern Japanese design and a broader room mix distinguish it from a basic single-occupancy business hotel. It can accommodate solo travelers, couples, families, and small groups, though Nara Park and Naramachi are onward walks rather than places immediately outside the door.

Superior Doubles and Standard Twins begin at 16 square meters. Superior Twins start at 19 square meters and can accommodate a third guest on a sofa bed, while Deluxe Twins begin at 22 square meters and sleep up to four with two additional sofa beds.
Some Superior Doubles have tatami flooring, and an accessible room category is also available. The differences matter when comparing a couple's stay with a family or group booking, so check the exact floor plan and bed setup rather than relying on the room name alone.
Facilities
A 24-hour coin laundry is helpful for longer stays, while luggage storage is available before check-in and after check-out. The lobby lounge provides shared seating, and guest rooms include Wi-Fi.
Parking is limited. The hotel's small paid parking area must be reserved by phone, and drivers may need to use a nearby public car park if those spaces are full.
Dining
Breakfast combines a Western plate based on local and seasonal ingredients with a small self-service selection. It's served from early morning in the ground-floor restaurant.
There is no verified lunch or dinner service. Instead, the position between the two stations puts central Nara's dining streets within reach.
Location and transport
The hotel is in JR Nara Station Area, with the JR station slightly closer than the Kintetsu rail terminus. JR Nara serves trains from Kyoto and Osaka, while Kintetsu Nara is closer to the park-side streets and receives direct trains from Osaka-Namba.
Local buses from both stations serve Nara Park and other central sights. Because the stations lie in opposite directions, guests can choose the railway that best suits each day's plans instead of committing the entire stay to one network.
Airport access
Scheduled limousine buses to Kansai International Airport and Osaka Itami Airport depart from the JR Nara Station East Exit, about five minutes from the hotel. This is direct airport service from the station, not a hotel-door shuttle.
Airport-bound departures may require reservations, and services don't run continuously. Check the current Nara Kotsu timetable before matching a bus to your flight.
Why stay here
Arriving by JR, leaving by airport bus, or starting a Kintetsu sightseeing day requires little backtracking from here. Rooms for three or four guests also give families and small groups more flexibility. The tradeoff is clear: hotels closer to the park shorten the walk to Nara's best-known sights.
Naramachi offers a slower outing among traditional merchant houses, cafes, craft shops, and Gangoji Temple. Farther east, Nara Park changes the pace again, with free-roaming deer and temple paths leading toward the museum district.
Good to know
The restaurant serves breakfast only, so plan to go out for lunch and dinner. Parking is limited and requires a phone reservation rather than an online space booking.
