Overview
Amagasaki Station is the JR rail anchor for the Amagasaki Station Area. It is useful for travelers staying beside the station, using Kansai Airport limousine buses, or moving between Osaka, Kobe, Kyoto, Takarazuka, and the wider JR West network.
Lines And Station Numbers
The station is served by the JR Kobe Line, JR Takarazuka Line, and JR Tozai Line. JR West's station-number map identifies Amagasaki as A49 on the JR Kobe Line, G49 on the JR Takarazuka Line, and H49 on the JR Tozai Line.
Access Role
Hotel access information for the station area describes rapid JR access to Osaka Station in about six minutes, Shin-Osaka in about eleven minutes, Sannomiya in about sixteen minutes, and Kyoto in about thirty-five minutes. Kansai International Airport limousine buses also serve JR Amagasaki Station, giving the area a useful air-and-rail connection.
Good To Know
Do not confuse JR Amagasaki Station with Hanshin Amagasaki Station. They serve different rail networks and are not the same transfer point, so hotel directions and airport-bus stops should be checked by station name.
