Transport access and hotel guide

Overview

Toyoko Inn Kintetsu Nara Ekimae is a one-minute walk from Exit 5 of Kintetsu Nara Station. Breakfast is included, and the surrounding streets lead east toward Nara Park and south toward Naramachi.

It's an easy arrival with luggage, and self-check-in kiosks can shorten the front-desk routine.

Rooms

Guest rooms have Wi-Fi and private unit bathrooms. An accessible Heartful Room A is also available, though its exact layout and availability should be confirmed when booking.

Dining

Breakfast starts early. The complimentary buffet runs from 6:30 to 9:00, leaving time to eat before a train or a morning walk into Nara Park.

For lunch and dinner, the covered shopping streets south of the station lead toward restaurants and cafes around Naramachi.

Location and transport

Direct Kintetsu trains arrive from Osaka-Namba, while limited express services connect Kyoto and Nara. Local buses continue from the station to sights deeper within Nara Park.

Nara Park begins about eight minutes from the station on foot. The central streets of Naramachi around Gangoji are about 15 minutes away. You can explore both areas without beginning the day with another train journey.

Airport access

Don't plan an airport transfer around the nearby Kintetsu stop without checking the timetable. Kansai Airport buses currently arrive on the JR side of central Nara, and Itami services use that side as well. Only one listed airport-bound KIX departure calls at Kintetsu Nara, so the journey often includes a taxi or local transfer.

Why stay here

Early Kintetsu departures and luggage-heavy arrivals require very little walking. Breakfast begins at 6:30 am, early enough to eat before a full sightseeing day.

Start early in Nara Park, before its deer and temple routes grow busier. Later, Naramachi offers a change of pace, with preserved merchant houses now used as cafes and shops. Staying beside the station makes it easy to divide those walks around a midday break or an evening return.

Good to know

There is no on-site parking. The partnered Kaneko Motor Pool operates from 7:00 am to 11:00 pm; the hotel rate covers parking from 4:00 pm to 10:00 am. Drivers arriving outside those hours should use a nearby coin car park.
