Overview
A washer-dryer and microwave in every room set Tokyu Stay Sapporo Odori apart from many central Sapporo hotels. The hotel is three minutes from Odori Station and Tanukikoji, between Odori Park and the shopping and dining streets leading toward Susukino.
The location works for a first visit to Sapporo-Odori, while the room equipment is valuable when you're staying several nights, packing lightly, or dealing with wet winter clothing. The difference matters on longer trips.
Rooms
Every room is non-smoking and equipped with a washer-dryer and microwave. The lineup begins with 17-square-meter Comfort and Residential doubles, continues through several twin options, and reaches the 49-square-meter Stay Premier. Connecting rooms and categories for up to four guests offer more flexibility than the usual solo or couple layout.
Kitchenettes are available in the Residential Double, Residential Twin, Premier Twin, Stay Premier, and Connecting Room categories. Larger twins also have separate bath and toilet areas. If cooking facilities or extra bathroom space matter, check the exact category rather than assuming every room has the same layout.
Facilities
The lobby has self-service coffee, while free Wi-Fi and a 24-hour front desk cover the everyday basics. With laundry available inside each room, you won't need to plan around a shared coin laundry during a longer stay.
A mechanical car park beside the hotel has 24 spaces and vehicle-size limits. Spaces can't be reserved or guaranteed, so drivers may need to use nearby coin parking when it is full.
Dining
Le mouton serves a Japanese and Western breakfast buffet on the second floor. Options include open sandwiches, vegetable soup curry, zangi, and other Hokkaido-style dishes, with breakfast tickets sold at the front desk.
The restaurant also opens for lunch and dinner, though Tanukikoji brings many more choices close to the hotel. Its covered arcade extends through seven blocks of restaurants, cafes, shops, and bars, so meals don't have to revolve around in-house dining.
Location and transport
Odori Station is about three minutes away via Exit 2 or the Tanukikoji 4-chome exit from Pole Town. The Namboku, Tozai, and Toho subway lines meet there, allowing trips across the city without returning to the main JR rail hub.
Odori Park is also about three minutes away. The Sapporo TV Tower, Clock Tower, and Susukino are within the surrounding central walking area. Tanukikoji's covered arcade and the Pole Town underground route are especially welcome when rain or snow makes street-level walking less appealing.
Airport access
JR Airport trains connect New Chitose Airport with Sapporo Station, with the fastest services taking about 33 minutes. From Sapporo, transfer to the Namboku Line for the one-stop ride to Odori, followed by a three-minute walk to the hotel.
It isn't a direct airport journey. The rail transfer is simple, but travelers with heavy luggage should allow time to move between the JR and subway sections of Sapporo Station.
Why stay here
In-room laundry and microwaves take some of the work out of a multi-night Sapporo stay, while the short subway walk keeps sightseeing flexible. The tradeoff is the lack of direct airport rail at the door; in return, you get a central position between Odori Park, Tanukikoji, and Susukino.
Tanukikoji's covered arcade stretches for roughly 900 meters, mixing long-running shops with restaurants, cafes, and newer stores. Odori Park adds year-round open space and major seasonal events, including winter snow sculptures and summer beer gardens.
Good to know
For stays of several nights, daily service is limited to simple cleaning on request, including towel changes and trash removal. Full room cleaning is provided once a week for stays of seven nights or more.
The hotel is near Odori Station but isn't directly connected to its ticket gates. Exit 2 provides the straightforward street route, while the Pole Town route offers escalator access and more shelter when you're carrying larger luggage.
